CHRIS LANE GOES GOLD WITH “FIX”
Big Loud Records breakout star Chris Lane was surprised with a GOLD record plaque for his #1 single “Fix” Saturday night (9/17) in Indianapolis, as he celebrated the final night opening for Rascal Flatts and Kelsea Ballerini on this summer’s RHYTHM & ROOTS tour. The plaque, commemorating 500,000 sales and streams of Lane’s smash debut hit, was presented by Rascal Flatts in an onstage ceremony that followed Lane’s set and had the boisterous crowd roaring with applause.
“I'm excited to reach this milestone,” shared Lane. “I love seeing people show up and sing along to ‘Fix.’ This means that people are listening and believing in me, I don't take that for granted.”
“Fix,” which marked Lane’s first #1 at Country radio, hit #1 on the CMT Hot 20 Countdown this week, leading into his late-night TV debut September 28 on NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers.
Lane’s debut album Girl Problems – produced by superstar studio ace Joey Moi (Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen) – was released August 5 to media applause for his bold, fresh sound and standout falsetto. The album features current single “For Her” as well as “Fix,” which surpassed an impressive 24 million streams on Spotify and 5.5 million views on Vevo, and gave Big Loud Records its first-ever #1 with its first single – an unheard-of start for a new label. Lane has won shout-outs from massive industry names like Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Selena Gomez, Florida Georgia Line, Lucy Hale, Daughtry, and more, after starting his career selling out club shows in his hometown of Kernersville, NC, before going on to open for Dustin Lynch’s sold-out HELL OF A NIGHT Tour and spending his summer on the RHYTHM & ROOTS Tour. The “For Her” video, featuring a romantic, real-life wedding proposal, was released September 17 with an exclusive CMT world premiere.
