COUNTRY MUSIC’S BRAND-NEW GO-TO ONLINE DESTINATION, COUNTRY NOW, IS LIVE
COUNTRY NOW is Country music’s brand-new go-to online destination launching today (6/6) and championed under the direction of EDITOR-IN-CHIEF LAUREN BLACK. Serving as the only website Country fans need, it offers up unique in-depth coverage of the genre as the ultimate source for breaking Country music news, exclusive outside-the-box artist interviews, and must-see multi-platform video content.
“I am thrilled to announce the launch of Country Now. I believe a platform like this is needed in the Country music space now more than ever,” shares Black. “Fans need a trusted place to consume content about their favorite Country stars and Country Now will deliver just that.”
At the helm of the fresh hub is Black, a leading Nashville-based journalist who first proved her entrepreneurial expertise when co-founding CountryMusicIsLove in 2008. Selling to a major record label just seven years later following prominent success, the website rebranded as Sounds Like Nashville, where she continued to oversee production as Editor-in-Chief for two and a half years. Her forward-thinking business approach and keen knack for creating thriving digital content is supported by over a decade of covering Country music. A University of Central Florida graduate, Black’s been published on Forbes.com, and previously held the Country Music Expert Writer role with Answers.com.

Catapulting into the spotlight with a loaded lineup of can’t-miss content, Country Now also announces three specialty segments – The Profile, Country Next, and The Pupdate – which will run consecutively in addition to their daily Country music news updates. Kicking off with exclusive interviews with today’s hottest rising Country stars, MORGAN WALLEN (The Profile), JAMESON RODGERS (Country Next), and CASSADEE POPE (The Pupdate) are featured in the anticipated inaugural rollout, plus a video interview feature with WALKER HAYES about his new single, “Don’t Let Her.”
Each month, The Profile will deep-dive into the life and career of one of Country music’s hottest acts, while Country Next dials-in on the genre’s most promising newcomers. Adding some serious cuteness to the mix, The Pupdate will feature artists of all calibers being interviewed while playing with adorable puppies available for adoption through Nashville, TN-based nonprofit Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue.
With a jam-packed week in Music City, Country Now had guest correspondent EMILY ANN ROBERTS– NBC’s The Voice’s season nine finalist on Team Blake (Shelton) – on the red carpet at the 2019 CMT Music Awards last night (6/5). The field team will also be gathering exciting CMA Fest footage all around Music City, plus artist video shout-outs set to debut on the big side-stage screens of Ascend Amphitheater in-between the Friday (6/7) night performances.
