CANAAN SMITH GOES FULL THROTTLE IN NEW “COUNTRY BOY THINGS” VIDEO

Round Here Records’ PLATINUM hitmaker CANAAN SMITH brings his new foot-on-the-gas anthem to life in the official video for “Country Boy Things.”

Filled with gritty, salt-of-the-Earth pride and filmed deep in his woodsy element, the clip was directed by Thomas Heney and finds Smith going full throttle in true country-boy style – with 4x4 trucks, ATVs and chainsaws all in the mix. Matching the cranked-up tone of the track, it’s a tribute to living loud, working hard and letting loose, all delivered with a blast of whatever-it-takes energy.

“I wanted to get out in the woods on this one – my kind of woods – which turns out, are Brian Kelley’s woods,” says Smith. “When he offered up his property for the video, I knew it was gonna be special. I wanted to capture the essence of a day well spent. That was the most hands on I’ve been with a video so far, and I’m glad it’s time to show it.”

Co-written by Smith with Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley, Jaren Johnston of The Cadillac Three and Corey Crowder, “Country Boy Things” follows Smith’s return to the spotlight with his hopped-up and chilled-to-the-max “Beer Drinkin’ Weather,” highlighted by Rolling Stone Country as an easygoing “summertime throwdown.”

Meanwhile, Smith was recently announced as the first artist signed to Round Here Records – the creativity-focused brainchild of Florida Georgia Line superstars Kelley and Tyler Hubbard. Smith is currently touring as part of FGL’s CAN’T SAY I AIN’T COUNTRY TOUR and is celebrating his new music on the road with full-band sets alongside Dan + Shay and Morgan Wallen.

All this follows Smith’s romantically-charged breakout in 2014 with the PLATINUM #1 hit, “Love You Like That,” and his acclaimed Top 5 album debut from 2015, BRONCO. The undeniable talent went on to tour internationally and release a handful of other singles, including 2017’s “This Night Back,” which has tallied 30+ million digital streams.
