"It’s a song about drinking, but it’s not like a party song," HARDY explains, highlighting an interwoven storyline which unfolds into the track's hook. Written by the hitmaker with Jake Mitchell and Hillary Lindsey, the track arrived in September on his star-studded
HIXTAPE VOL. 1 collaborations album, and will hit radio airwaves nationwide on Monday, February 10.
The rising star and Mississippi native makes the release while riding high on a wave of breakout success, including his first-ever CMA Triple Play Award after scoring four #1 songs as a writer in the span of 18 months – Morgan Wallen’s “Up Down” (featuring Florida Georgia Line), FGL’s “Simple,” Blake Shelton’s “God’s Country” and Chris Lane’s “I Don’t Know About You.”
Having recently wrapped a run of headlining shows, the
Chattanooga Times Free Press raved about HARDY’s “rowdy redneck show” and called him “country’s redneck singer-songwriter,” while
Chicago Reader named him “the new loud voice of modern pop-country” and proclaimed “whether or not you’re into songs about hunting deer and drinking beer for breakfast, you have to admit that HARDY’s voice is the loudest one calling across country music’s glitzy new frontier.”
Looking ahead, HARDY will hit the road with
Cole Swindell’s DOWN TO EARTH TOUR on March 5 in Toledo, OH, and then joins
Morgan Wallen for a tour of the UK May 14 in Manchester, with sell-outs already piling up. He’ll also take part in
Thomas Rhett’s CENTER POINT ROAD TOUR starting May 29 in Gilford, NH, and is currently working on a 2020 recording project.
