Photo Finish Records emerging duo
LAKEVIEW are putting an acoustic spin on their debut party anthem, “Poor Me.”
Premiering exclusively on
CMT.com, the rowdy tune takes a turn in the new clip, evolving into a “thoughtful acoustic country song” (
CMT), as the duo’s Jesse Denaro and Luke Healy break down the fan-favorite track.
“We were just so excited to shoot this live video. We love watching these from our favorite country artists, so we were stoked to be able to make one of our own,” Healy shares with
CMT.com. “There is always something special about an acoustic take on an original song – it gives it a new life. In all honesty, we were nervous. This was our first legitimate production video for LAKEVIEW. Nervous, but excited!”

“Our goal with this video was to show a different side to this high energy ’party’ song,” Denaro tells
CMT.com. “We hope our fans enjoy this new version and get the same feeling from the full-band version as they do with this one.”
This acoustic take continues to open the doors on the duo’s signature sound – mixing proud Country soul, a taste of Rock & Roll, and a hint of Pop ambition into one singular style and highlighting their passion for old-school storytelling alongside their impressive vocal range. It follows their latest reflective release, “
Eyes Closed,” which – like this stripped down clip – also shows Denaro and Healy’s more vulnerable sides.
Since their debut, LAKEVIEW continue to garner praise from fans and critics alike, with
The Boot listing “
Poor Me” among their “New Songs You’ve Got to Hear” and
Country Now hailing the duo “undeniably has all of the makings of becoming the next big act in country music.”
Fans can expect more new music from LAKEVIEW in the coming months, as they charge forward in their exciting introduction to the genre.
