Penned by Fleet alongside Rhett Akins and Will Bundy, “Workin’ Hard” paints the picture of accomplishments that can be accredited to the everyday grind – ranging from high school sports to sweat-inducing summer jobs and playing in honkytonks for tips – all of which the Tennessee native has experienced first-hand.
"The whole backstory of the song came from the way the three of us each grew up and developed into where I am now," Fleet told
The Tennessean. "It’s an honest, real-life story that’s true to my life. I was taught … if you want something you have to work for it. ‘Workin’ Hard’ was the perfect title track for my debut, because that’s been my life story."
Released in November 2019,
WORKIN’ HARD features eight tracks that find the sweet spot between Classic Country and the contemporary sounds of today – produced by ACM
Producer of the Year nominee Joey Moi. Out of the gate, Fleet has racked up critical acclaim from
American Songwriter,
Billboard and
Rolling Stone, while scoring coveted spots on artist to watch lists by
Pandora,
Sounds Like Nashville and
Taste of Country.
Fleet’s latest release,
“Where I Find God” continues to resonate with fans as a musical expression of gratitude and uplifting ode to finding peace in the higher power’s presence during life’s little moments. The track’s
official music video – filmed on Lake Martin in Eclectic, AL, and featuring Fleet’s wife, Phebe, and now 10-month-old son, Waylon – has garnered 2.8 MILLION views and counting.
