Warner Music Nashville powerhouse
Gabby Barrett continues to shine in 2020, as the ACM
New Female Artist of the Year nominee gathers more proof she is truly “the year’s top new artist” (
Country Aircheck).
With Barrett’s debut single, “I Hope,” sitting atop the
Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for a fourth consecutive week, her
Live with Kelly and Ryan performance of the “captivating drama” (
CMT) will re-air tomorrow, Friday (8/14). Dominating the Country genre, the 2X PLATINUM anthem remains the most streamed Country song of 2020 – adding to her 460 MILLION+ career on-demand streams – but momentum is already building for her follow-up.
Barrett’s heart forward sophomore single, “The Good Ones,” looks set to follow her debut’s lead, posting early streaming and airplay numbers on par with a monumental hit. It’s gathered 60 MILLION on-demand streams to date – including back-to-back weeks with more than 2.5 MILLION each – and now stands inside the Top 50 of
Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.
Mark “The Good Ones” as another of the SIX songs Barrett currently has spinning at FIVE different radio formats, all from her record smashing full-length debut,
GOLDMINE: “I Hope” and “The Good Ones” (Country radio); “I Hope” feat. Charlie Puth (Top 40, Hot AC and AC); “Footprints on the Moon” (Radio Disney); “Got Me” feat. Shane & Shane (SiriusXM’s “The Message” and Music Choice’s Contemporary Christian channels); and “Rose Needs a Jack” (SiriusXM’s “The Highway”).
Meanwhile, CMT has announced Barrett and her fellow 2020 LISTEN UP artists will have the network’s support for another whole year, as pandemic precautions keep all artists off the stage. Extending the campaign through 2021, Barrett will receive full cross-brand backing for music and videos across CMT and CMT Music channels, as well as CMT Radio, CMT Hot 20 Countdown,
CMT.com and @CMT social media channels, and more.
