BIG LOUD PARTNER/PRODUCER JOEY MOI REIGNS BILLBOARD'S HOT 100 PRODUCERS ALL-GENRE CHART
For the first time, BIG LOUD’s Partner/Producer JOEY MOI is topping Billboard's Hot 100 Producers all-genre chart (dated August 29), with four production credits to his name this week – all led by Big Loud Records artists. Securing his reign is Morgan Wallen’s record-setting smash, “7 Summers,” which Moi solely produced.
Shattering Country streaming records upon release (8/14), Wallen’s “7 Summers” launches at #6 on the Hot 100, scoring 23.5 MILLION U.S. streams and 28,000 downloads sold during opening week (Nielsen Music/MRC Data). Out of Moi’s four current credits, Wallen also has PLATINUM, #1 “Chasin’ You” at #36 and #62 with “More Than My Hometown,” plus HARDY’s “ONE BEER” (feat. Lauren Alaina & Devin Dawson) at #74 – co-produced with Derek Wells. With 59 production credits on Hot 100 to date, Moi made his chart debut with Nickelback’s hit “Someday” in 2003, which became his first of seven Top 10s when it peaked at #7.
Cementing himself as an in-demand and hitmaking producer, Moi’s lauded career spans multiple Billboard charts, currently securing his 10th #1 on Hot Country Songs as a producer with Wallen’s “7 Summers” ruling this week, plus his 16th career week atop Country Producers – this spring, he scored a seven-week consecutive run at #1. Moi has also capped multiple years (2013, 2014, 2016) as Billboard’s #1 Hot Country Songs Producer of the Year.
Next month, Moi is up for Producer of the Year at the 55th ACM Awards®.
