Warner Music Nashville’s MULTI-PLATINUM star Gabby Barrett is adding more hardware to her goldmine of recent accolades, taking home a trifecta of trophies at last night’s (5/23) Billboard Music Awards. Barrett claimed the titles of Top Country Female Artist, Top Country Song (“I Hope”) and the fan-voted Top Collaboration with Charlie Puth (“I Hope”).
“Thank you so much!," Barrett exclaimed from the Billboard Music Awards stage. "Oh my gosh. I’m going to try to keep it together as best as I can. This is a really big deal. This means so much to me. Thank you so much to my team. I’ve been performing for 10 years really hard. My dad and my sister are here, and we’ve worked so hard to get here. Thank you to the Lord Jesus above for everything. Thank you to my husband, my sweet daughter who’s back at home watching." Watch her full acceptance speech HERE.
Barrett dazzled in a Nicolas Jebran dress, Stuart Weitzman shoes, jewelry by Dana Kemp and Jennifer Fisher, and a Tyler Ellis clutch. Recognized as one of the night’s best dressed stars by PEOPLE, The Hollywood Reporter and Elle, USA Today raves, “that gold dress stole the show.”
Leading the Country music categories with three wins, Barrett was the female finalist with the most nods across any genre – proving that she’s “jumped to another level of stardom,” (TIME) following the breakout success of the 5X PLATINUM, record-breaking smash “I Hope” and PLATINUM three-week chart-topper “The Good Ones.” Yesterday’s awards follow Barrett’s recent ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year win in April.
Pushing full throttle in her rise to the top, Barrett is the most-nominated Country artist at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards, where she will vie for Best New Country Artist, Country Song of the Year for “I Hope”, and the all-genre Best Collaboration and Best Lyrics for “I Hope” featuring Charlie Puth. The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards will air live on FOX from The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 27 from 8:00-10:00 PM ET.
The reigning CMT Music Awards Breakthrough Video of the Year (“I Hope”) winner, Barrett will now vie for Female Video of the Year with “The Good Ones” at this year’s show. Airing Wednesday, June 9 on CMT, voting for the 2021 CMT Music Awards is open HERE.
The powerhouse artist will return the road this summer, set for headline shows, fairs and festivals beginning in June. Then, she’ll join Thomas Rhett on THE CENTER POINT ROAD TOUR kicking off August 13 in Orange Beach, AL. For more information and a full list of Barrett’s upcoming tour dates, visit here.
