A&R ACE PATCH CULBERTSON ADVANCES TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, GENERAL MANAGER OF BIG LOUD RECORDS
Big Loud Records advances hard-driving label mainstay Patch Culbertson to Senior Vice President, General Manager, effectively immediately. The Billboard 2020 Indie Power Player first joined the no-holds-barred Records division as VP of A&R in 2017.
“The trajectory of this groundbreaking label has stayed true to its namesake. How? Great songs, great artists, and a world-class team,” shares Culbertson. “I am grateful every day to support the endeavors of our artists with colleagues who are simply the best in the business. Thank you Seth [England], Joey [Moi], Craig [Wiseman], and Austen [Adams] for this opportunity.”
In his newly created role as one of Nashville’s most innovative leaders, he’ll oversee day-to-day operations, commercial tactics, and creative development for the Records roster – including MULTI-PLATINUM stars Morgan Wallen, Jake Owen, Chris Lane, HARDY, along with risers MacKenzie Porter, Larry Fleet, Lily Rose, Sean Stemaly, Hailey Whitters, among a slew of other talents – that accounts for more than 15 BILLION global streams with 11 #1 U.S. airplay and 15 #1 Canadian airplay chart-toppers. With Big Loud reigning #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Labels year-end chart for 2021, the A&R ace has also developed coveted research strategies in talent sourcing and proven hit determination in the digital era.
“Craig [Wiseman], Joey [Moi], and I couldn’t be happier to continue our working relationship with Patch Culbertson,” adds Seth England, Partner/CEO of Big Loud. “Patch has been with the Partners since the beginning of Big Loud Records and has helped build the label into what it is today. We want to thank him for his years of service, and to the many more to come.”
Culbertson previously spent eight years at Republic Records, last serving as Director of A&R in their New York headquarters. His high caliber track record includes the signing and development of several MULTI-PLATINUM acts including Aminé, Florida Georgia Line (via Republic Nashville), SoMo, and The Naked and Famous. In addition, he spearheaded releases from Colbie Caillat, Florence + The Machine, Mat Kearney, and The Lonely Island, and more, as well as a number of soundtracks such as Ted, Jersey Shore, Safe Haven, and Snow White and the Huntsman.
The Massachusetts native and Middlebury College graduate is a proud voting member of the Recording Academy, Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association, and the Canadian Country Music Association.
