DRAKE WHITE TAKING JOY ON THE ROAD WITH SPRING LEG OF THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR

Drake White is continuing to expand his touring schedule for 2022, announcing the next leg of his THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR today (2/8). The run of shows will begin on April 1 with support from Kasey Tyndall on all dates.

Starting with a concert in Portland, ME on April 1, the next leg of THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR will bring White to 20 cities including St. Louis, MO, Cincinnati, OH and Nashville as well as festivals, ending with a show in Jackson, TN on May 21.

White first kicked off his headline THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR in September 2021, traveling the country to bring his glass half full mentality to fans. That set of shows was White’s first tour since suffering a stroke on stage in August 2019, and he hasn’t slowed his live slate down since. On February 16, he will join Whiskey Myers on their WHISKEY MYERS IS A COMIN’ TOUR as support through late March.

THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR’s upcoming shows will allow White even more chances to bring his new music to fans. The Alabama native is preparing to release his second studio album, THE OPTIMYSTIC, on March 11, which shares the singer’s inspirational journey over the past few years as he recovered from his stroke and learned to walk again. The project is available for pre-order and pre-save and fans who pre-order will receive the title track instantly.

ABOUT DRAKE WHITE:
Drake White grew up singing in his church’s youth choir in Alabama before becoming one of Country music’s most spirited innovators, earning four Top 40 hits and traveling the country on multiple nationwide tours. His 2013 debut single “Simple Life” introduced his brand of Country soul, which he cemented with 2016 debut album SPARK followed by the EPs ‘Pieces’ and ‘Stars.’ In August 2019, he collapsed on stage due to a hemorrhagic stroke, and doctors told him he might never perform again. After undergoing a series of operations to repair his Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) and months of physiotherapy, White has proved them wrong, embarking on his THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR to spread his incredible positivity to his fans in 2021 and getting ready to join Whiskey Myers on tour through Spring 2022. He’s also preparing to release his new album, THE OPTIMYSTIC, an inspiring glimpse into the journey White has taken over the past few years. White has received accolades including Rolling Stone’s 10 Country Artists You Need to Know, The Grammy’s Artist of Tomorrow and the British CMA Awards’ International Song of the Year and has shared the bill with Country music superstars like Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Zac Brown Band.

ABOUT KASEY TYNDALL:
Tapped as a “hard-rock country badass” by Rolling Stone, Kasey Tyndall has shared the stage with renowned musicians like Joe Diffie, Kane Brown, Granger Smith, Stryper, The Cadillac Three and more. Her musical influences range from Miranda Lambert and Allison Krauss to Avril Lavigne and Joan Jett, reflecting her innate ability to resonate among Hard Rock and Roll and Country fans alike. Tyndall continues to write and record new music in Nashville, TN with her new single “Middle Man” — which chronicles life with divorced parents — set to drop on May 21.
