BBR Music Group/BMG’s Wheelhouse Records’ rowdy outliers LOCASH are starting the summer party early with their new single, “Beach Boys,” available today (3/4) on all streaming platforms and digital retailers. Featuring The Beach Boys’ co-founder Mike Love and longtime bandmate Bruce Johnston, listen here.
“Today is a big day! We’re kicking off our WOODS & WATER TOUR 2022 tonight and rockin’ to our new single ‘Beach Boys’ all day long,” shares LOCASH. “We’re honored and amazed to have members of America’s band, Mike Love and Bruce Johnston of The Beach Boys, on this song with us. We’re so excited to share this moment with our fans and can’t wait to see y’all singing every word when we come to your town!”
First releasing a solo rendition on their wild-and-free WOODS & WATER – EP, this fresh collaboration’s go-with-the-flow melodies and breezy vocal harmonies have all of the salt-kissed, Country-rocking energy of that unmistakable California sound mixed with LOCASH’s signature backwoods style. Written by LOCASH’s Chris Lucas and Preston Brust, alongside Dallas Wilson, Jared Mullins, Brian Wilson, and Mike Love, “Beach Boys” was produced by Corey Crowder.
“It was a blast to collaborate with LOCASH on their new single ‘Beach Boys,’” says Mike Love. “I felt honored to have been asked to join vocal forces with LOCASH and sing on a song that nods respectively to The Beach Boys. I feel that this song will quickly become a summer favorite across many genres. Congratulations LOCASH!”
