Drake White kicked off the Spring leg of his headline THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR in stirring fashion, taking his trademark energetic show to New York City’s Gramercy Theatre last night (3/31).
The engrossed crowd was locked in on White as he ran through hits old and new, showcasing his latest album, THE OPTIMYSTIC, in front of a headline crowd for the first time since the project's release in March. Starting his set with the swaggering "American Thunder," White had the audience singing along to early singles like "It Feels Good" and "Makin' Me Look Good Again" as well as new releases including "50 Years Too Late" and album standout "Power of a Woman."
THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR’s Spring leg will continue with stops in 19 cities including Des Moines, Cincinnati and Nashville before a final show in Jackson, Tennessee on May 21. White will be joined by Kasey Tyndall for all dates. The Alabama native’s New York City stop came two days after he made a return to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, taking the iconic stage for a performance on Tuesday night (3/29).
In August, White will take his show across the pond for a five-date run in the UK, beginning with a headline performance at the Millport Country Music Festival (8/20) and continuing with shows in Manchester (8/21), London (8/22) and Bristol (8/23) before concluding with another headline stop at The Long Road Festival (8/26).
