In an ingenious twist, the track suddenly changes gears just as the chorus hits: “I’m thinking this is going great / But then you open your mouth.”

Produced by Ben Zelico, “Open Your Mouth” takes on a glorious intensity, bursting into high-drama beats that brilliantly contrast Orrantia’s eye-rolling disappointment at the object of her fast-fading affection – the type of guy utterly lacking in self-awareness, prone to bragging about his constant gym going and serial model dating. Striking a rare balance of humor and heart, “Open Your Mouth” arrives as Orrantia gears up for the season nine finale of ABC’s The Goldbergs airing on Wednesday (5/18). Recently renewed for a tenth season, the show stars Orrantia as “Erica Goldberg,” the titular Pennsylvania family’s eldest child whom fans have watched transform from a socially awkward high schooler to a college-aged beauty who drops out of school to form a band with her girlfriends. 

Along with her widely celebrated role on The Goldbergs, Orrantia has established a successful music career, mining inspiration from all genres to create a soulful, Pop singer-songwriter sound centered on her expressive voice.
