Drake White closed out the Spring leg of his headline THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR in epic fashion this weekend, playing two SOLD-OUT shows in Tennessee. White began his trek’s final weekend with a concert at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl on Friday night (5/20) before wrapping the tour at Hub City Brewing in Jackson, TN on Saturday (5/21).

The Nashville show served as a homecoming for White, who lives in Music City and had his wife, Alex, family members and friends in attendance. During his two-hour plus set, the capacity crowd was locked in on the singer-songwriter, who created a reverent atmosphere of inspiration and positivity with past hits like “Makin’ Me Look Good Again” and new fan favorites like “Hurts the Healing.” 

An unforgettable moment came when White and his band went fully acoustic for “The Optimystic,” the title track of White’s latest album, ditching the microphone for a to-the-rafters singalong with the crowd. He also brought out opener Kasey Tyndall, who joined White on all dates for the tour’s Spring run, to perform with him on album standout “Power of a Woman” while trio The Woods provided backing vocals throughout the show. 

THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR is in support of White’s second studio album, THE OPTIMYSTIC, which was released in March and dives even deeper into White’s unshakeable brand of Country soul. The Alabama native brought Muscle Shoals to Nashville to create a 14-song collection that takes its name to heart, leaving listeners with an uplifting and positive message throughout. 

In August, White will take his tour across the pond when he visits the UK for a five-date run beginning with an anticipated headlining appearance at the Millport Country Music Festival before stops in Manchester, London and Bristol, wrapping with a headline slot at The Long Road Festival in Leicestershire.
