DIAMOND-selling superstar Brian Kelley is riding a SECOND WAVE OF SUMMER with the announce of a 20-date residency as the fall continuation of his in-demand SURF POST SESSIONS. Speaking first with CMT Hot 20 Countdown host Ashley ShahAhmadi while headlining the CMT Hot Prospects summer concert series ahead of the Los Angeles Angels vs. Atlanta Braves game (7/22), watch the announcement here.
Kelley is excited to welcome fans into the backyard of the Tribe Kelley Surf Post, which is owned by him and his wife Brittney, for the anticipated lineup of dates beginning September 2 in Grayton Beach, FL. 30A Blaze is a returning sponsor, with new support from 30A, YOLO Board, Chiringo, Grayton Coast Rentals, and For The Health Of It. Closing out in costume with a Halloween bash on October 31, all tickets for the SURF POST SESSIONS’ SECOND WAVE OF SUMMER residency are on sale now here.
“I couldn’t be more excited about doing a 20-show residency in the backyard of our mom-and-pop surf shop, Tribe Kelley Surf Post, in Grayton Beach, FL! We’ve been dreaming of this for years and finally the timing is perfect,” shares Kelley. “After five intimate sold-out shows, it was easy to see that this was the wave I wanted to ride this fall. This allows me to write and record new music during the week, play shows on the weekend, sleep in my own bed, and soak up as much fun and inspiration as I can. I feel really free and in my own element, and this allows me time to focus and set up for an even bigger 2023. I can’t wait to see everyone at the next round of the SURF POST SESSIONS – you never know what I’m going to play, or who’s going to show up and join me!”
Announced dates of Brian Kelley’s SURF POST SESSIONS’ SECOND WAVE OF SUMMER residency:
SEPTEMBER
2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18
OCTOBER
7, 8, 9, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30, 31
Jump-starting the series this summer with FIVE consecutive SOLD-OUT shows, Kelley capped the first-ever run with a locals-only event where he surprised Army National Guard veteran Michael Monk with an “American Spirit” dedication. The proud salute to Monk’s 12 years of service captured media attention from Country Now, Outsider, and Taste of Country, among others, and can be viewed here.
Standing tall for the red, white, and blue as Kelley’s first solo release for Big Machine Records, the patriotic ode continues to make a powerful statement as spotted on Billboard’s First Country and Entertainment Tonight’s New Music Releases lists. Capturing the “true essence of what it means to live in the land of the free,” according to CMT, “The timely salute showcases Kelley’s smooth like butter baritone vocals and impressive knack for storytelling, as the steadfast beat is destined to make a mark on listeners’ hearts.” American Songwriter further agrees, “Kelley’s country twang and emotional lyrics are easily relatable,” as he co-wrote “American Spirit” with Jake Rose, Blake Redferrin, and Canaan Smith, with both Kelley and Rose also tagged as producers.
