Texas Country’s Randy Rogers Band showed up for their home state this week, performing at Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s “A Celebration of Texas” event on Tuesday night (1/17).
The occasion was held at Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater as part of a series of events celebrating Abbot’s inauguration and also featured performances by Parker McCollum and Shane Smith and the Saints. Randy Rogers Band performed a full set during the evening including their latest single, "Fast Car," as well as classics like "In My Arms Instead" and "Kiss Me In The Dark." During their time on stage, Randy Rogers Band was joined by Lieutenant Governor of Texas Dan Patrick, who was also sworn into office this week.
"Fast Car" is currently spinning at radio and is featured on Randy Rogers Band's latest album, HOMECOMING, which was released in October and was hailed as a "groundbreaking project" by PEOPLE. Randy Rogers Band is back on the road with upcoming shows at Mile 0 Fest (1/27), Nashville's Ryman Auditorium (3/2), Rodeo Austin (3/14), Red Rocks Amphitheatre (8/10) and more.
