Jill and Julia penned "Bettin' On Us" with Ben Williams and Colin Healey and the song was produced by JoJo Centineo. Driving guitars back Jill and Julia as they declare that they're going all in on their dreams, determined verses rising to a soaring chorus. "I'm over all the underestimating / 'Cause you can't win nah if you don't play," they sing. "I'm sick of all the nah you'll never make its / 'Cause I know damn well we gon' win this game."
"This song is an anthemic battle cry," The Pretty Wild shares. "It's about overcoming whatever life throws at you and rising to the challenge no matter how tough the odds may seem."
Jill and Julia moved to Las Vegas as teenagers and consider the city their hometown, and they wanted to pay homage to the place that shaped them with the lyrics to "Bettin' On Us."
"We moved to Las Vegas shortly after our mom passed away from a very aggressive cancer," the sisters reveal. "Being just teenagers at the time, it pushed us to pursue music full time because life is so short. Las Vegas was where we got our start playing live night after night, and we focused on working on being the best we could be. 'Bettin' On Us' is a reflection of all that effort, and we can't wait for everyone to hear it and hopefully relate to it."
"Bettin' On Us" is The Pretty Wild's latest release with RECORDS Nashville. In 2022, the duo shared their song "XANAX & CHAMPAGNE," which was written by Brandy Clark, Shane McAnally and Old Dominion's Trevor Rosen. Learn more about The Pretty Wild here.
