MULTI-PLATINUM star Gabby Barrett is cruising to the 2023 CMT MUSIC AWARDS with two nominations for her PLATINUM hit “Pick Me Up.” Taking a drive of a lifetime in the Alexa Campbell-directed clip, the music video is up for the highly coveted Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year, with fan-voting now open at vote.cmt.com. On April 2, the award show is set to air live from the Moody Center in Austin, TX, at 8:00-11:00 PM ET/PT on CBS and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
“This is my most favorite music video I’ve done, and it means so much to me to be nominated for TWO awards by CMT,” shares Barrett. “It was so special to have my husband Cade by my side for this shoot, and I’ve heard so many sweet stories from fans about how this one has touched them. Thank you, CMT!”
Turning the clocks back to 1962, the cinematic footage chronicles the true love story of a couple – played by Barrett and her real-life husband Cade Foehner – through the decades. From a first kiss to one of their last, it’s a sweet peek inside a forever kind of romance. First launching as a CMT Broadcast Premiere, appearing on the Paramount Times Square Billboard in New York City in addition to CMT Music and CMT.com, read the feature here.
As heard on the extended version of her acclaimed PLATINUM debut album, GOLDMINE (DELUXE) (Warner Music Nashville), Barrett’s backroad ballad – penned by Barrett, Ross Copperman, and Jon Nite – has surpassed 250 MILLION global streams to date and marked 5.7 MILLION views on the adjoining music video. With over 6.5 BILLION career airplay impressions and 2.6 BILLION global career streams to her credit, she continues to prove herself as an unstoppable force in the genre.
With new music promised this year, Barrett returns to the road with several music festival stops including Stagecoach (4/29) in Indio, CA, and Gulf Coast Jam (6/4) in Panama City Beach, FL, before supporting select dates with Kane Brown this summer.
