OLIVIA LANE FEATURED IN CNNMONEY’S REPORT ON RENOWNED DARK HORSE RECORDING STUDIOS WHERE TAYLOR SWIFT RECORDED HER FIRST ALBUM
NASHVILLE, TN (June 24, 2015) – Rising Country singer Olivia Lane is featured in CNNMoney’s spotlight on Dark Horse Recording Studios and owner Robin Crow in Franklin, TN. The story focuses on its remarkable history as a top hit making studio for big names including Neil Diamond, Foo Fighters, Faith Hill, Matchbox Twenty, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift.
“There’s just something about the energy here,” observed Lane. “I can’t pinpoint it...All of these artists that have all these gold and platinum records…This is where it started.”
CNNMoney’s presentation features an interview with Lane and a behind-the-scenes look at her recording a yet unreleased song, “Money Don’t Work.” On June 8, her latest single, “You Part 2,” was the most added female song at Country radio. Monday (6/22), CMT premiered the official music video for the sassy female-empowerment breakup song as seen here.
Big Spark Music Group's singer/songwriter is working with producer/musician Ilya Toshinskiy, and writing with some of Nashville’s top tunesmiths including Jim Beavers (Dierks Bentley, “Sideways” and Luke Bryan, “Drink A Beer”) Catt Gravitt (Jake Owen, “Alone With You” and Jana Kramer, “Why Ya Wanna”) and Danny Myrick (Jason Aldean, “She’s Country” and Tim McGraw, “Truck Yeah”). Lane has garnered national attention as an artist to watch in 2015 with CMT featuring her debut single, “Steal Me Away,” in their Listen Up Music Discovery Program on CMT Pure and Country Weekly recognizing her as one of 2015’s “Who’s New” artists. The fresh-faced newcomer has been immersed in the craft and tradition of Country music since she was a little girl, eager to follow in the footsteps of her mother who was a Country singer. In college at USC, she honed her calling studying music, songwriting and acting. Immediately upon graduation, Lane moved to Nashville to pursue her lifelong dream of a career in Country music.
