Few things in this world can compare to a father’s love for his daughter, and with the tender new track and video for “Your Baby Girl,” emerging songwriter-artist Landon Parker gives it a soundtrack.
 
Ahead of his second wedding anniversary on March 13, the family-focused ballad is out today (3/10) and delivers a heartwarming message written by the North Carolina native with Matt Nolen and Skip Black, as a tribute to Parker’s wife McKenzie and her dad. But it’s a theme he has now come to know personally.

Matching his smoke-and-honey traditional-Country vocals with delicate piano and sweeping strings, Parker performed the tears-of-joy anthem at his March 2021 wedding, honoring the father-daughter dance and a true circle-of-life moment. A touching new video captures that scene forever, mixing real wedding footage with tuxedoed performance shots and home video of McKenzie as a child – plus the opening of another chapter in the story. 
 
The clip concludes with the first images of a new baby girl welcomed to the Parker family in 2022, and after its exclusive premiere on PEOPLE yesterday, the outlet praised both the video and song’s honest emotional depth. Read the full story here.
 
"The whole song is me talking to her dad, saying thank you for bringing an angel into the world," Parker explains in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. "We wrote that song fairly fast because it was right there, right in front of us."

Already one of Parker’s most-requested songs, “Your Baby Girl” follows up the February release of The Acoustic Sessions, Vol 1., and the 2022 arrival of Parker’s Hits Home EP via Bad Ass Records.

 
Showcasing a modern-Country artist with dynamic, classically minded vocals and sharp song-crafting instincts, the EP was co-written by Parker and produced by GRAMMY Award-winner Blake Chancey (The Chicks’ Wide Open Spaces, Fly). It has helped the newcomer put himself on the map, and he has since earned praise from outlets like American Songwriter, MusicRow, Country Evolution, and others.
