TEDDY ROBB WRESTLES WITH "WHY" IN NEW SONG "QUESTION THE UNIVERSE"

Teddy Robb has a lot on his mind in his newest song, "Question The Universe," releasing the thought-provoking and relatable track everywhere today (4/21). Based on Robb's personal experience, no one else but the Midwestern riser could have recorded it.

"Question The Universe" was written by Old Dominion's Brad Tursi after he witnessed Robb's real-life love story, which inspired Tursi so much, he penned the entire song on his own before Robb made it to Tursi's house for their writing session.

Produced by Pete Good, an understated piano backs Robb's honeyed vocals with a hint of rasp as he recalls meeting and falling for a woman who was already in a relationship and planning to move across the country, making him question everything he thought he felt. "Right person, wrong time / She's perfect / God why'd you have to go and do me so dirty like that? / Give me everything I want and nothing I can have," he sings, the song's production swelling as the lyrics continue to emphasize the internal struggle Robb was facing at the time.

"Losing someone you love — and the person that you believe is your soulmate — is devastating to the heart," Robb shares. "It's something that can make you question life, love, God, and even the Universe. This song is based on a true story of experiencing that feeling."

"Question The Universe" is the latest in a string of new music from Robb, starting with 2022's "Pretty Things," currently spinning on multiple radio stations, and followed by February's "Stay Single," which has been spotlighted by Entertainment Tonight, MusicRow, Country Now and more, plus featured on a number of notable playlists.

ABOUT TEDDY ROBB:
Growing up in rural Ohio, Teddy Robb spent his childhood outdoors, hunting, fishing, and off-roading. He developed a love for music at a young age, finding inspiration in Country greats like George Strait, Johnny Cash and Brooks & Dunn as well as Rock and Roll and Blues music. The conclusion of his football career in college gave him the push to pick up a guitar, and once he started performing, he was hooked. After graduation, Robb moved to Nashville, cutting his teeth in Broadway honky-tonks before a trip to Colorado led to a residency at a local bar. There, Robb continued to hone his craft and ultimately made the connection that would take him back to Music City. He has since released two EPs — a self-titled project in 2020 and Get Away With It in 2022 — and his music has tallied over 110 MILLION streams to date. He has performed on NBC's TODAY, been spotlighted by Rolling Stone and Billboard and has shared the stage with Country stars like Luke Combs, Jordan Davis and HARDY. Robb's 2022 song "Pretty Things" was his first as an independent artist, and his latest releases "Stay Single" and "Question The Universe" are kicking off the latest chapter of his musical journey.
