In-demand entertainer Charles Esten took over The Windjammer in Isle of Palms, SC, for “WARDJAMMER III” on Saturday night (8/12).
“From the moment I arrived here in 2019 to start production on Outer Banks as ‘Ward Cameron,’ I fell in love with this incredible community. This venue in particular is an absolute favorite of mine,” shares Esten. “To get to play this beach jewel for a third time surrounded by all these beautiful people was, is, and always will be, a thrill. I’m already looking forward to next year!”
Esten launched the night with a surprise when he joined opening Alt-Rock band Betcha on a raucous version of Oasis’ “Champagne Supernova.” When it was his turn to take the stage, he packed the setlist with brand-new music off his highly anticipated independent debut album, Love Ain’t Pretty, that’s releasing January 26, 2024, fans can pre-save/pre-add now. Playing already fan-favorites like “One Good Move,” “A Little Right Now,” and “In A Bar Somewhere,” Esten also stunned the packed beachfront audience with Eric Paslay popping up to perform a trio of songs they’ve penned together, including their just released “Down The Road.” The first-and-only collaboration on Esten’s 14-track Marshall Altman-produced collection all co-written by Esten, the never-give-up anthem was penned by Esten, Paslay, and Dylan Altman. On Wednesday (8/16), Esten is slated to open for Chris Janson in support of nonprofit Cumberland Heights at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. Fans can purchase tickets here.
