Sharing the news after a whirlwind year of undeniable growth, Southall’s upcoming tour is just the latest in a series of wins – both on the road and off.

Last week (12/4) the six-member group comprised of founding member Read Southall plus Reid Barber, Jeremee Knipp, Braxton Curliss, John Tyler Perry, and Ryan Wellman made a career-milestone debut at Los Angeles’ legendary Troubadour (the club famous for helping launch Elton John, James Taylor and more), as a part of the band’s headlining tour. For remaining tour details and tickets, click here

Southall is touring in support of their explosive self-titled album released in September via Smoklahoma Records and have gone on to earn acclaim from tastemakers like Rolling Stone for “infuse[ing] rock and metal into the band’s coffee shop vibe.”

Featuring 11 tracks pulling on stylistic threads from hard charging ‘70s Rock and gritty Southern Soul to grooving back-alley Blues and beyond, SOUTHALL includes fan favorites like the road-weary romantic rocker “When You’re Around,” the soul-searching psychedelic anthem “By Surprise” and the swampy juke-joint dancer “Scared Money” – plus their latest focus track, the rootsy Alt-Rock throwback “All I Have.”

The band now boasts more than 430 MILLION total streams and 1.35 MILLION cumulative monthly listeners, with momentum building behind their rebellious Country-Rock style.

Formerly known as Read Southall Band, the GOLD-certified group (“Why”) has three albums behind them and has spent the last few years building a rabid grassroots following on the road. After touring the U.K. and Europe with Blackberry Smoke in early 2023, they spent much of this year winning over crowds with Whiskey Myers and Chase Rice, as an epic breakout takes shape.

ABOUT SOUTHALL:
Founding member Read Southall hails from Oklahoma and is joined in the six-piece group by Reid Barber, Jeremee Knipp, Braxton Curliss, John Tyler Perry and Ryan Wellman. Southall's musical influences range from Country to Rock to Metal and more in between, making for a wholly original sound reminiscent of "being in the crowd at a young Merle Haggard show," according to The Anniston Star. The guitar-driven band never loses focus on meaningful lyrics, penning tunes that speak to every aspect of life and help drive a Rock and Roll experience for their audience, whether they're listening at home or at a packed show. The Smoklahoma Records act throws gas on the fire beneath their fast-rising career with their most recent release, SOUTHALL – their raw and explosive self-titled album. Southall's 2021’s FOR THE BIRDS features the epic six-minute long single "Where We Belong" and “impressive standout” (Raised Rowdy) “Rose Gold” and follows their 2017 album BORROWED TIME, which includes their RIAA GOLD-certified single "Why." Full of ‘70s Soul, Country-inspired lyricism and Rock and Roll heart, Southall’s music draws packed crowds and evokes old-school Country and early Grunge all at once. The band has tallied over 430 MILLION total streams and over 1.35 MILLION cumulative monthly listeners. With their self-titled album out now and a passion for the road, Southall is just getting started.
