As predicted by Grammy.com, THE LUCKY TOUR proved to be “an indication of where her stardom is headed — bigger and busier.” THE LUCKY 2.0 announcement comes just days after the release of Moroney’s brand-new song, “No Caller ID.” A shining example of the emotional complexity that makes her music so powerful, “No Caller ID” channels both aching vulnerability and fierce resilience as she tells the all-too-relatable tale of receiving a late-night phone call from an ex you’re trying your best to forget. Produced by Kristen Bush and co-written by Moroney with Jessi Alexander, Connie Harrington, and Jessie Jo Dillon, the understated yet indelibly hard-hitting track makes for a stunning first glimpse at the highly anticipated next chapter of Moroney’s career.
Already stacking up over 2.5 MILLION global streams, “No Caller ID” has earned plenty of rave reviews, with MusicRow stating: “This is so well written. She’s trying to move on, but he worms his way back in by ringing her up drunk at 3 a.m. with no caller ID. Does she pick up the phone? Unfortunately, yes. A short story in song with a creative approach that you have to admire. This lady is very special.”
“No Caller ID” follows a blockbuster year for the “emo cowgirl.” To that end, her 2X PLATINUM, No. 1 breakout “Tennessee Orange” and massively acclaimed debut album LUCKY quickly propelled her to best-of-the-year lists from major outlets like The New York Times and Rolling Stone and scored her a host of high-profile TV appearances. With several award nominations already under her belt, Moroney is currently vying for the fan-voted 2024 People’s Choice Awards for The Female Country Artist of the Year (airing February 18 at 8/7c on NBC, Peacock, & E! — go here to vote now). She’s also up for three 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards for Best New Artist (Country) plus all-genre, fan-voted categories Favorite Debut Album “LUCKY” and Social Star (broadcasting live April 1 at 8/7c on FOX - vote here).
As she continues to stake her claim as Country’s new “it” girl, Moroney currently has two songs in the Top 30 on Country radio: “I’m Not Pretty” (the magnetic opening track to LUCKY) and “Can’t Break Up Now” (her recent collaboration with Old Dominion).
This spring and summer, Moroney will take the stage at stadiums across the country as support for Kenny Chesney’s SUN DOWN 2024 TOUR, in addition to appearing at high-profile festivals such as StageCoach in April. For full tour dates and ticketing information, visit www.meganmoroney.com/.
