Fresh off the first #1 of his red-hot-and-rising Country career, RECORDS Nashville artist-songwriter George Birge will make his late-night TV debut.
Set to appear on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Monday (January 29) at 11:35/10:35c, the milestone moment arrives with all eyes on Birge … and his “Mind On You” hit still turning heads.
Co-written by the Texas native with Jaron Boyer, Michael Tyler and Colt Ford, “Mind On You,” topped the Country radio charts as the new year began while also arriving on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100. Featured as Billboard’s January Country Rookie of the Month, Birge opens up about his debut single and how he nearly gave the song away to Jason Aldean, one of his biggest musical influences (read here). Now, Birge will perform the hypnotic anthem for a national audience as his ‘artist to watch’ status builds.
"Playing Fallon has been a dream for the band and I for years,” Birge explains. “It’s always seemed larger than life, and to finally have the opportunity to be a part of the show that has hosted so many greats feels incredible!"
On top of the #1, Birge was recently named to the coveted New Faces of Country Music lineup for CRS 2024 – another marker of his growing momentum.
Readying to perform alongside Dillon Carmichael, Corey Kent, Megan Moroney and Conner Smith at the annual industry showcase, the concert highlights five emerging artists with early success behind them, which radio veterans expect will see a bright future ahead. Previous New Faces artists include Jelly Roll, Luke Combs, Sam Hunt, Luke Bryan, and many more.
Meanwhile, Birge will also continue building his fanbase on the road. Starting February 1 in Peoria, Illinois, the newly minted chart-topper will join Parker McCollum on select dates of the BURN IT DOWN TOUR 2024, with shows all across the Eastern U.S. ending June 1 in Jacksonville, Florida.
