MEGAN MORONEY’S SOPHOMORE ALBUM AM I OKAY? MAKES STELLAR DEBUT AT NO. 9 ON BILLBOARD 200

In a major win for one of Country’s most exciting young stars, Megan Moroney’s Am I Okay? debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 — the definitive all-genre chart for U.S. album sales. Released on July 12 to widespread acclaim, the Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records singer/songwriter’s sophomore LP also shot to the No. 3 spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart — a feat that makes Am I Okay? the fifth-biggest Country debut of 2024 and the year’s third-biggest debut from a female Country artist (after Beyoncé and Kacey Musgraves). Go here to stream/download Am I Okay? now.

With nearly 43K in consumption units in its first week — including 37.6 MILLION streams — Am I Okay? has earned massive praise from many of the music world’s leading publications, including Rolling Stone (“Moroney’s deft way around a lyric and producer Kristian Bush’s radio-ready touch combine to make this one of the most enjoyable listening experiences of the year”), Variety (“establishes that she’s one of traditional-leaning country’s best and brightest new standard-bearers, upholding the most essential of the old values in a broadly beguiling new package”), The Tennessean (“Moroney is training and preparing for mainstream country music superstardom”), and the print editions of American Songwriter (“from unexpected uppers to arena-shaking anthems to the inevitable sad ballad, this soaring second effort easily avoids the dreaded sophomore slump”) and The New York Times (“Moroney’s brand of truth-telling, equally funny and wounded, has struck a chord”).

Also lauded by BillboardMusicRow, and more, Am I Okay? turned up on coveted lists like “New Music Friday: The best albums out July 12” from NPR’s All Songs Considered. In addition, Associated Press declared that “[y]ou’d be hard-pressed to find a more relatable voice in contemporary country music for young women” and hailed Am I Okay? as “a heartbreak-filled rollercoaster ride of a sophomore album, filled with quotable kiss-offs and evolved compositions.”

Spotlighting the phenomenal talent that’s earned Moroney nearly 1.5 BILLION total global streams to date, Am I Okay? arrived just over a year after Lucky — a blockbuster debut album that landed on best-of-the-year lists from the likes of The New York Times and Rolling Stone, delivering smash hits like the 2X PLATINUM, No. 1 breakout single “Tennessee Orange” and self-assured anthem “I’m Not Pretty.” Described by Moroney as “Lucky’s cooler older cousin that can drink,” Am I Okay? offers up 14 powerhouse tracks detailing the messier aspects of dating and relationships and everything in between, including “No Caller ID” (a soul-baring slow-burner that set the record for the biggest Country female song debut in streams in the U.S., racking up 8.4 MILLION global streams in its first week alone), “28th of June” (a heart-melting piano ballad about the pain of honoring a would-be anniversary), “Indifferent” (a larger-than-life celebration of finally getting over your ex), “Man on the Moon” (a fun-loving anthem hailed by Holler as an “out-of-this-world send-off that is sure to soundtrack the summer”), and “Hell of a Show” (a stripped-back heartbreaker that speaks to one of the more surreal and painful aspects of fame). See below for the full tracklist.

With three consecutive headline tours now under her belt, Moroney is currently performing at stadiums across the country as support for Kenny Chesney’s SUN GOES DOWN 2024 TOUR and gearing up to take the stage at Lollapalooza next month. In September, she’ll head overseas for the GEORGIA GIRL TOUR —  a 15-date headlining run of the UK and Europe.

ABOUT MEGAN MORONEY:
A Country phenomenon with major star power and massive talent to match, Megan Moroney is the rare artist to earn icon status soon after breaking onto the scene. With nearly 1.5 BILLION total global streams to date, the Georgia-bred singer/songwriter kicks off the next era of her already-formidable career with her sophomore album Am I Okay?: a hugely anticipated body of work featuring the Emo Cowgirl’s widely beloved post-breakup ballad “No Caller ID,” which recently shattered the record for the biggest Country female song debut in streams in the U.S. The follow-up to her blockbuster 2023 debut LuckyAm I Okay? also includes “Man on the Moon” (a fun-loving, free-spirited bop), “Indifferent” (a stadium-sized Rock fueled anthem), and “28th of June” (a piano-driven stunner) — altogether offering what Moroney refers to as “Lucky’s cooler older cousin that can drink.” With production from her frequent collaborator Kristian Bush, Am I Okay? is the latest turn in a meteoric rise set in motion with “Tennessee Orange,” a 2X PLATINUM #1 hit that made Moroney one of only nine solo female Country artists this century to reach #1 with their debut single. Along with “Tennessee Orange,” Lucky delivered standouts like “I’m Not Pretty,” and turned up on best-of-the-year lists from leading outlets like The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Associated Press (who hailed her as a “Gen Z songwriter with Taylor Swift-level acuity”). After nabbing her first win at the 2023 CMT Music Awards (for Breakthrough Female Video of the Year), Moroney went on to win MusicRow’s Breakout Artist of the Year at the 2024 CountryBreakout Awards and New Female Artist of the Year at the 59th ACM Awards (where she reigned as the most nominated female artist with SIX NODS), in addition to racking up nominations from the CMA, iHeart, CMT Music, and Billboard Music Awards. With multiple sold-out headline tours now under her belt (including THE LUCKY 2.0 TOUR, which sold out in under five minutes), she’s currently playing stadiums across the country as support for superstar Kenny Chesney’s SUN GOES DOWN 2024 TOUR. After taking the stage at high-profile festivals like Stagecoach and Lollapalooza, Moroney will head overseas in September for the GEORGIA GIRL TOUR — a 15-date headlining run bringing her notoriously dazzling live show to audiences all over the UK and Europe.
