BETTER THAN EZRA ANNOUNCE NEW TOUR LEGENDS OF THE FALL: TOKYO DRIFT

This November, Alt-Rock icons Better Than Ezra will hit the road for LEGENDS OF THE FALL: TOKYO DRIFT — a 13-date U.S. headline run beginning on November 8 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. With the tour also including stops in major cities like Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Dallas, all tickets go on sale this Friday, August 2, at 10 a.m. local time. See below for the full list of tour dates and venues.

Continuing through December 7 in Henderson, Nevada, LEGENDS OF THE FALL: TOKYO DRIFT marks BTE’s second headline tour since the arrival of Super Magick: their tenth studio LP and first full-length in a decade, released via Round Hill Records in May. The same day the album dropped, BTE kicked off the LIVE A LITTLE TOUR with two dates in their hometown of New Orleans, thrilling crowds across the country with classic hits like “Good,” “Desperately Wanting,” and “King of New Orleans.” Go here to stream/download Super Magick now.

"America has spoken and Better Than Ezra has listened," shares BTE singer/guitarist Kevin Griffin. "This fall, The Legends of the Fall ride again!  We’re back for a third time, riding into the abyss, The Tokyo Drift!”

One of the most enduring and beloved bands of Alt-Rock’s defining era, BTE have sold out amphitheaters and arenas all around the world over the past three decades. With a wildly fun and feel-good live show that delivers plenty of hits, fan favorites, deep cuts, and covers, the band chose the name of their latest trek as a nod to past outings like the hard-charging RETURN OF LEGENDS OF THE FALL 2023 TOUR and 2022’s LEGENDS OF THE FALL TOUR. Over the years, they’ve won major praise for their high-energy, emotionally charged live performance, with American Songwriter declaring that “[w]hen you watch them onstage, it’s no wonder they’ve managed to survive after all this time.”

Currently tearing through a jam-packed schedule of summer festivals (including SummerfestPleasantville Music FestivalMusikfest, and more), BTE are also gearing up to take the stage at the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival (a Franklin, TN-based event co-founded by Kevin Griffin) on September 28. Since forming in 1988 at Louisiana State University, Better Than Ezra have been on a rocket ride through the Rock world, definitively making their presence felt at every turn. The band exists in rare air among their peers, having occupied spots on Billboard’s 100 Greatest Alternative Songs of All Time” and “100 Greatest Alternative Artists of All Time.” Better Than Ezra was a prominent fixture on radio and MTV in the Nineties and early 2000’s, thanks in large part to the monumental success of their cherished 1993 independent album DELUXE, which included standout fan-favorite “Good” —a MULTI-PLATINUM-selling #1 hit on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks Chart.

ABOUT BETTER THAN EZRA:
Songs, albums, live performances — some are simply timeless. From their early roots, circa 1988, playing house parties at Louisiana State University, Better Than Ezra have made their mark on the music world in a major way. Yes, the New Orleans quartet, founded by Kevin Griffin [lead vocals, guitar, piano] and Tom Drummond [bass, backing vocals], who unleash hummable melodies, unshakable guitar riffs, and confessional lyrics, have stood the test of time — from 1995’s #1 hit “Good” all the way to Taylor Swift’s famous 2010 cover of the Better Than Ezra classic “Breathless.” And they’re still going strong: after headlining monumental live shows all throughout 2023, the band released their long-anticipated tenth studio album Super Magick via Round Hill Records in May. Named one of the “100 Greatest Alternative Artists of All Time” by Billboard, with a legacy that includes inspiring a classic Saturday Night Live skit, Better Than Ezra recently completed their headline LIVE A LITTLE TOUR, with their LEGENDS OF THE FALL: TOKYO DRIFT tour kicking off in November.
