ALANA SPRINGSTEEN HEADLINES NPR MUSIC’S TINY DESK CONCERT SERIES

First spotted on NPR Music’s esteemed “The Best Songs of 2023” list in All Songs Considered for her critically acclaimed debut album title track, “twenty something,” Columbia Records/Sony Music Nashville artist-songwriter Alana Springsteen today (8/5) appears in NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series live from the NPR Music headquarters.

“I grew up studying Tiny Desk Concerts. I’d memorize them and dissect the creative decisions and departures that were made from the original versions of the songs. They were always the most inspiring display of artistry to me. No production, effects, or tracks to hide behind. Just yourself, your band, and your God-given talent. I think that’s why Tiny Desk is as revered as it is by artists and fans,” shares Springsteen. “In a world where there’s so much noise and it’s so easy to fake perfection, it’s a platform that removes the possibility of inauthenticity. I’m still completely shook that I got to play it. I spent a lot of time dreaming up these arrangements with some of the best players I know. I’m grateful to Gideon Klein, Alec Parrish, Josh Beatty, and Daniel Cooper for being by my side for this performance. I definitely hid all sorts of guitar picks, capos, and personal items all over that set to prove I had been there. To the NPR Music team, thank you for believing in my songs and hearing the intent behind them. You made a little girl’s dream come true.”

Co-writing all songs and co-producing on nearly all of TWENTY SOMETHING, comprised of three fully realized and fearlessly honest installments: Messing It UpFiguring It Out, and Getting It Right, plus the DELUXE edition in 2023, Springsteen played the title track in addition to “ghost in my guitar” (released as a collaboration with Chris Stapleton) – named among the “25 Nashville Songs That Tell the Story of 2023” by The Tennessean. In addition, she premiered an unreleased track “feels good,” plus stripped down her brand-new “Hot Honey” collaboration with GRAMMY® Award-winning, multi-platinum superstar DJ/producer Tiësto for a solo rendition. NPR Music further praised, “She showed up ready to make it count, with a carefully arranged setlist she delivered in an impossible-to-miss, bright red, leather suit, backed by an incredible band.”

With Springsteen tagged as a co-writer and featured in the fiery official music video alongside Tiësto – MTV, Rolling StoneELLE, and more, are all agreeing, “‘Hot Honey’ hits the sweet spot” (EDMNOMAD):

“a thumping showcase for Alana Springsteen that kicks into high gear during the post-chorus and smartly never overshadows Springsteen’s vocal subtleties.” – Billboard

“Tiësto and Alana Springsteen Play With Fire” – VARIETY

“Alana Springsteen and Tiësto are heating up the summer with their brand new single!”

Wildly supported by NPR Music with an early review of TWENTY SOMETHING praising, “Few artists dissect and make sense of life in your 20s quite like Alana Springsteen,” she’s also previously visited NPR World Cafe – hailing, “Alana Springsteen is making a 'different kinda country’” – for a live session with host Raina Douris in front of an audience at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, PA [listen here].

Currently supporting Luke Bryan before returning to the road with Tyler Hubbard, fans can find full list of upcoming shows and ticketing information here.
