DRAKE WHITE’S TRIUMPHANT NEW ALBUM LOW COUNTRY HIGH ROAD OUT NOW

Today, Country-Soul troubadour Drake White shares his third album Low Country High Road — a wildly life-affirming look at the tremendous ups and downs he’s endured in recent years. The most masterful work yet from the Alabama-bred singer/songwriter, Low Country High Road touches on monumental events like his phenomenal recovery from a hemorrhagic stroke and the birth of his son after he and his wife overcame a long battle with infertility. Go here to stream/download Low Country High Road now.

Low Country High Road is a testament to the fact that relationships, persistence, and determination pay off,” says White. “The sonics are a musical trip down the New Orleans, Muscle Shoals, Memphis geographical triangle. The songs are delivered with a uniquely southern, Appalachian-James Brown fire. The record is an offering of 'Soul Country' made from the highest highs, and the lowest lows. Music helped my heart keep going when my brain told me to quit, and I hope this collection encourages people to hope, heal and have fun.”

Co-produced by White and Jonathan Singleton (Luke Combs, Chase Rice) and recorded in Mississippi, Low Country High Road delivers 13 songs with an unforgettably powerful impact — all penned by White himself alongside A-list co-writers like Ross Copperman (Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Gabby Barrett) and Randy Montana (Parker McCollum, Randy Rogers Band, George Strait). Whether he’s chronicling his journey into fatherhood, singing the praises of small-town country living, or celebrating the absolute thrill of being alive, each track packs a major emotional punch while immediately lifting the spirits.

All throughout Low Country High Road, White sets his storytelling to an exhilarating sound that fully harnesses the larger-than-life energy his band’s shown in headlining multiple tours and sharing bills with Eric ChurchLuke BryanLynyrd SkynyrdLittle Big TownZac Brown Band, and more. Endlessly revealing the rich expanse of his musicality, the album offers up everything from the fast-stomping Country-Rock of “10 Lbs of S#!T” to the soul-soothing Gospel-Blues of “Faith” to the gorgeously stark Folk of “Life, Love and War” (a profoundly moving ode to his young son, Hawk).

A fearlessly honest portrait of resilience and strength, Low Country High Road is White’s first full-length since The Optimystic — a 2022 LP that earned acclaim from the likes of American Songwriter (who hailed it as an “extremely accomplished album”) and Billboard (who praised his “smooth brand of Country-Soul”). Low Country High Road marks the latest addition to a formidable catalog that also includes four Top 40 hits as well as critically lauded releases like The Bridge (a 2023 EP that found White collaborating with Maren MorrisRyan HurdColbie Caillat, and more).

Known for his boundless charisma both onstage and off, White recently sat down with “ACM Garage Talk” (presented by Lucas Oil) to share stories of his beloved 1969 Ford Bronco as well as his path to Country stardom — check it out here. He is also set to appear as a guest on the first episode of the third season of RFD-TV's music series “On the Record, presented by John Deere” tonight at 7:30pm CT / 8:30pm ET. Tune in here.

ABOUT DRAKE WHITE:
A Country-Soul troubadour with charisma to spare, Drake White pours every ounce of his unbridled passion into songs that brighten the spirit. For the latest turn in a dynamic career that’s included scoring four Top 40 hits, White kicked off a thrilling new era with his spring 2024 single “10 Lbs of S#!T” — a fun-loving anthem dedicated to letting the good times roll and living life to the absolute fullest. After getting his start singing in his church’s youth choir, the Alabama native broke onto the scene with his 2013 single “Simple Life” and released his debut album Spark in 2016. As he gained a devoted following for his soul-stirring songwriting (also showcased on the back-to-back EPs Pieces and Stars), White collapsed on stage due to a hemorrhagic stroke in August 2019, then underwent a series of operations to repair his Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). Once recovered, he returned with his critically acclaimed sophomore LP The Optimystic: a 2022 release praised as an “extremely accomplished album” (American Songwriter) full of songs that “offer hope to anyone dealing with difficulty in their life" (E! News). Maintaining that unstoppable momentum, he next delivered the 2023 EP The Bridge, a powerful seven-song project featuring collaborations with the likes of Maren Morris and Colbie Caillat. Over the years, White has shared the bill with Country superstars like Luke Bryan, Eric Church, and Zac Brown Band and brought his electrifying live show to a number of headline tours, including 2022’s THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR (with dates in the U.S. and U.K.) and 2024’s THE BRIDGE TOUR (a 24-city nationwide run). With his many accolades including winning the British CMA Awards’ International Song of the Year, landing on Rolling Stone’s 10 Country Artists You Need to Know list, and earning recognition as a GRAMMY Artist of Tomorrow, White recently released his third album Low Country High Road.
