DRAKE WHITE SHARES HIS INSPIRING STORY ON THE KELLY CLARKSON SHOW OCTOBER 25

This week, Country-Soul troubadour Drake White will share the inspiring tale behind his new music on national TV, appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show October 25 (check local listings for airtimes).

On hand to discuss his latest full-length album, Low Country High Road, the acclaimed Alabama singer/songwriter will also share one of music’s most incredible stories. Filling Clarkson and her audience in on a redemption like no other, White will unpack his on-stage stroke in 2019, challenging recovery and ultimate return to the life he loves – making deeply-human roots music and performing for crowds all across the country.

DON’T MISS DRAKE WHITE ON THE KELLY CLARKSON SHOW, AIRING OCTOBER 25.

Featuring standout tracks like the wisdom-laden “Life, Love and War,” the mischievous “10 Lbs of S#!T,” and “Faith” – a plaintive, Blues-and-Gospel-tinged plea – Low Country High Road was released in September as White’s third studio album, charting a new path forward for the long-loved star.

On top of his continued recovery and profound appreciation for life’s little miracles, the Southern Soul specialist also uses the album to trace a new journey – navigating infertility and becoming a father, after he and wife Alex welcomed son Hawk to the family in 2023.

A powerfully heartfelt celebration of all that brings him joy, Low Country High Road is once again filled with richly detailed storytelling and plenty of feel-good grooves, with a rootsy (yet electrifying) sound helping ease the mind and lift the spirit to soaring new heights over 13 songs, all co-written by White himself.

Meanwhile, Low Country High Road follows 2023’s The Bridge EP and White’s wildly-successful THE BRIDGE TOUR, and his appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show arrives as White embarks on another run of headlining concert dates – the LOW COUNTRY HIGH ROAD TOUR

Currently underway with high-energy shows on tap across the Eastern U.S., White will visit cities from Illinois to Florida and all points in between through December 6 when the tour wraps in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Country Rocker Reid Haughton supports select dates, and tickets are on sale now. Check here for a complete list of dates, cities and venues.

ABOUT DRAKE WHITE:
A Country-Soul troubadour with charisma to spare, Drake White pours every ounce of his unbridled passion into songs that brighten the spirit. For the latest turn in a dynamic career that’s included scoring four Top 40 hits, White recently kicked off a thrilling new era with his spring 2024 single “10 Lbs of S#!T” — a fun-loving anthem dedicated to letting the good times roll and living life to the absolute fullest. After getting his start singing in his church’s youth choir, the Alabama native broke onto the scene with his 2013 single “Simple Life” and released his debut album Spark in 2016. As he gained a devoted following for his soul-stirring songwriting (also showcased on the back-to-back EPs 'Pieces' and 'Stars'), White collapsed on stage due to a hemorrhagic stroke in August 2019, then underwent a series of operations to repair his Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). Once recovered, he returned with his critically acclaimed sophomore LP The Optimystic: a 2022 release praised as an “extremely accomplished album” (American Songwriter) full of songs that “offer hope to anyone dealing with difficulty in their life" (E! News). Maintaining that unstoppable momentum, he next delivered the 2023 EP 'The Bridge,' a powerful seven-song project featuring collaborations with the likes of Maren Morris and Colbie Caillat. Over the years, White has shared the bill with Country superstars like Luke Bryan, Eric Church, and Zac Brown Band and brought his electrifying live show to a number of headline tours, including 2022’s THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR (with dates in the U.S. and U.K.) and 2024’s THE BRIDGE TOUR (a 24-city nationwide run). With his many accolades including winning the British CMA Awards’ International Song of the Year, landing on Rolling Stone’s 10 Country Artists You Need to Know list, and earning recognition as a GRAMMY Artist of Tomorrow, White’s third album Low Country High Road was released in September 2024, pairing richly detailed storytelling and feel-good grooves for a soulful celebration of all that brings him joy.
