Today, GRAMMY-winning artist Neil Perry, of The Band Perry, is back and bolder than ever with his debut single “If You Can’t, Don’t." This true to self anthem foreshadows what is to come as Perry steps out on his own for the first time. Go here to listen now.
Written by Perry, Jet Harvey and Jackson Nance, this track showcases the demons we all wrestle with and accepting the truths of who we are, even if others cannot. It’s about returning to your first true love: yourself. Garnering wildly sought-after attention for taking home a DISCovery Award, MusicRow DISClaimer praises "With his debut solo outing, Neil Perry claims the spotlight he deserves." Perry teamed up with three-time GRAMMY-winner and producer Nathan Chapman on his upcoming project.
“I'm excited for my fans to hear ‘If You Can't, Don't,’” says Perry. “I'm able to show a side of myself and open up in a way I haven't up till now."
On Wednesday (10/23), Perry took to Broadway for his debut show at Barstool Nashville, celebrating the release with The 615 House and friends for a Music City worthy celebration. His breakout performance proved he was meant for more, captivating audiences the only way he knows how, with sincerity and a smile. Perry is currently in the studio working on his debut solo album.
First known as one-third of The Band Perry, he has racked up many accolades including a GRAMMY Best Country Duo/ Group Performance (2015); ACM Awards for Vocal Group of the Year (2013), New Artist of the Year (2010), and New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year (2010); and CMA Awards for New Artist of the Year (2011) and Single of the Year (2011) for the critically acclaimed single “If I Die Young.” Despite his early success, Perry’s project proves this is just the beginning for the solo act.
