***FREE SONG OF THE WEEK*** VOCAL COUNTRY POWERHOUSE OLIVIA LANE RELEASES FREE SONG OF THE WEEK: “MAKE MY OWN SUNSHINE”

“Breaking Big” vocalist (Entertainment Weekly) Olivia Lane released her latest free song download, “Make My Own Sunshine,” today (9/30) at OliviaLane.com and across her social sites. The track will be featured on her forthcoming complimentary acoustic LP, HEART UNLOCKED, due out October 9. Lane co-wrote “Make My Own Sunshine,” the fifth track unveiled from the project, with producer/GRAMMY-nominated musician Ilya Toshinskiy and hitmaker Jim Beavers (Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw). Adding to the excitement, Taste of Country launched the exclusive premiere of the song’s lighthearted, storybook-like music video. View the video here.

"'Make My Own Sunshine' is a song I wrote from the honest yet positive outlook I have on life. Days can get stressful, tricky and challenging, but whatever the situation may be I always try to smile and laugh as much as I can,” enthused Lane. “When it comes down to it, I'm happy to be able to live life to the fullest and I wanted the video to reflect that.”

Recently opening for Kip Moore and Easton Corbin, Lane will be touring this fall throughout the U.S. and will join Neal McCoy, Trace Adkins, Thompson Square and Charlie Worsham among others on the week-long Country Cruising voyage throughout the Caribbean setting sail on October 23.

Garnering national attention as an artist to watch in 2015, Lane’s debut single “Steal Me Away” was featured in CMT’s Listen Up Music Discovery Program and she was named one of Country Weekly’s 2015 “Who’s New” artists. The fresh-faced newcomer has been immersed in the craft and tradition of Country music since she was a little girl, eager to follow in the footsteps of her mother who was a Country singer. She studied music, songwriting and acting in college at USC and immediately upon graduation moved to Nashville to pursue her lifelong dream of a career in Country music.
