“I’m so excited the full HEART UNLOCKED acoustic album is out,” enthused Lane. “I poured my last two-and-a-half years into this fun project and hope you enjoy it because it’s all for you!”
Produced by GRAMMY-nominated musician and ACM’s 2015 Specialty Instrument Player of the Year Award-winner Ilya Toshinskiy, the 13-track project features standout song “Lightning,” which Entertainment Weekly recognizes as a “blazing track” where Lane "splits the difference between retro country and Top 40 pop.” Roughstock praises, “‘Lightning’ instantly showcases why Olivia Lane is one of the brightest newcomers on the scene and certainly an artist to keep an eye on.”
Leading up to the premiere, Lane gifted select tracks and released accompanying music videos for “Lightning,” “Boys,” “Mama Raised Hell,” “Gimme The Beat” and “Make My Own Sunshine.” Early reviews are coming in with Taste of Country noting, “Lane’s HEART UNLOCKED mixtape is a strong collection of empowering pop-country songs that rely on soaring vocals and modern production.” They go on to describe the singer as, “Red Bull and coffee mixed with Sara Evans and Jennifer Nettles.” Entertainment Weekly applauds, “this Nashville newcomer and singer-songwriter counts Patsy Cline and Linda Ronstadt as influences—and she’s got bold, brassy tunes (and incredible pipes) to match those towering talents.”
Currently on tour, Lane recently joined the “Girls With Guitars” concert in Patchogue, NY with Jana Kramer, Cassadee Pope, Mickey Guyton, Didi Benami and Abi Ann. Later this month, she joins Neal McCoy, Trace Adkins, Charlie Worsham, Thompson Square and more for the annual Country Cruising week-long voyage throughout the Caribbean. She will wrap up the season in Las Vegas joining LoCash for five dates at Gilley’s Saloon at Treasure Island during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
Garnering national attention as an artist to watch in 2015, Lane’s debut single “Steal Me Away” was featured in CMT’s Listen Up Music Discovery Program and she was named one of Country Weekly’s 2015 “Who’s New” artists. The fresh-faced newcomer has been immersed in the craft and tradition of Country music since she was a little girl, eager to follow in the footsteps of her mother who was a Country singer. She studied music, songwriting and acting in college at USC and immediately upon graduation moved to Nashville to pursue her lifelong dream of a career in Country music.
