RISING STAR SAM BARBER FOLLOWS YELLOWSTONE PLACEMENT WITH “Better Year (Live)” OUT NOW

After Paramount’s hit TV show Yellowstone featured his track “Better Year” last night (12/8), PLATINUM-certified Lockeland Springs/Atlantic Records artist Sam Barber has released a live version of the gutsy anthem of abiding hope, along with a performance video. Listen to “Better Year (Live)”  here now.

Penned by Barber and Avery Anna and included on his expansive 28-song debut album, Restless Mind – “Better Year (Live)”  is a prime example of the raw, minimalistic style at the core of the 21-year-old’s meteoric career.

Already hailed by American SongwriterRolling Stone, and more, Barber’s unique brand of rootsy, roughhewn Country is on full display – along with his barrel-chested vocal and unflinching lyrical drive – as the new track highlights an emerging powerhouse.

Recorded with a full band, the release follows a series of viral hits and a year of exponential growth. Evidence of a generational talent on the rise, check out the accompanying performance video below.

ABOUT SAM BARBER:
Now that Sam Barber has your attention, he’s looking forward to holding onto it a while. “I love making anything that can affect someone emotionally,” Barber says. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Southeast Missouri has already seen his career begin on a meteoric rise, and his debut album Restless Mind is set to send him into orbit. The accompanying RESTLESS MIND WORLD TOUR launched in fall 2024 and featured Barber’s SOLD-OUT Ryman Auditorium debut, along with showcase slots at Stagecoach, GoldenSky Festival, and Lollapalooza, introducing tens of thousands of new fans to his energetic and emotional live show. He’ll continue on the globe-trotting trek in 2025, showcasing the raw honesty and youthful enthusiasm in a way that has forced him into nearly every conversation about the future of Country music. Following the success of his PLATINUM-certified 2023 single “Straight and Narrow,” he landed the coveted placement of “Better Year” on Paramount’s hit TV show Yellowstone. If all goes as planned, that future will belong to Barber.
