GEORGE BIRGE SCORES BIGGEST ADD-DATE OF CAREER WITH MOST-ADDED “IT WON’T BE LONG”

With Billboard already touting the “musical biography” as his “latest country hit,” RECORDS Nashville hitmaker George Birge marks the biggest add-date of his career with “It Won’t Be Long” as most-added at Country radio this week. With 78 first-week stations launching his new single, listen here and watch the Corey Miller-directed music video.

Written by Birge with Joe Fox (also the producer), Chase McGill, and Trannie Anderson, “It Won’t Be Long” lands like a heartfelt ode to blessings big and small, informed by wisdom of the ages. With poignant lyrics about the stop-you-in-your-tracks moments of a simple but meaningful life, he traces a path toward real appreciation – one which leads across true love, challenges, and the surprises you never saw coming.

As featured by Billboard’s Makin’ Tracks, Birge shares, “I was ready to take another step as an artist. I found a little bit of a lane of stuff that was working for me. But I also wanted to continue to grow as I got a deeper connection with my fans, and kind of pull back the curtain a little bit more and maybe tell a little bit more of a story and showcase a little bit more in my life.”

Fast-following two back-to-back #1s (“Cowboy Songs” and “Mind On You”) last year, Birge is also up for his first award show nomination for Best New Artist (Country) at the all-genre 12th annual iHeartRadio Music Awards. Live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, fans can watch on March 17 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on FOX. Find full tune-in details here.

Tapped for a run with Dylan Scott (COUNTRY TILL I DIE TOUR) this spring, Birge was just announced today (1/27) as direct support for Luke Bryan’s COUNTRY SONG CAME ON TOUR this summer. With major 2025 music festivals billed as well, including his debut at Stagecoach, find all upcoming show details here
