Although he’s had the throttle pinned on the road and charts alike, in-demand Warner Music Nashville talent Chase Matthew ends up back where he started in “YOU TURN,” with his heart pulling a romantic reverse. Available today (2/14), listen here and watch the visualizer.
Co-written by Matthew with Rotundo, Rose Falcon, and Brian Bunn, the sultry moonlit stunner is full of dark and steamy lyrical conflict, as it’s all about a couple who go together like gasoline and matches. They’ve been down a rough road and know they’re better off headed in opposite directions – but when the mood strikes, they hit the fast lane toward each other once again.
En route for a head-on collision of the heart, a magnetic mix of Hard Rock and Hard Country captures the “dangerous curves” of desire. Co-producers Austin Shawn and Brian Bunn pair the smooth burn of Matthew’s Tennessee vocal with a heavy-duty mix of digital beats and doubled acoustic guitars, plus a high-voltage hook.
Marking the latest release from Matthew’s hotly anticipated third album CHASE (out February 21), “YOU TURN” follows “DRIVES MY TRUCK,” “MISSIN’ ME MISSIN’ YOU,” and “BACKROADS OF MY MIND.” With writing credits on nine songs – including one solo write – the 13-track set also features a guest appearance by Lauren Alaina, and was produced by Austin Shawn with co-production on select songs by Matthew, Brock Berryhill, Gabe Foust, Blake Bollinger, Brian Bunn, and Will Bundy, plus an additional track produced by Danny Majić. Pre-save/pre-add CHASE here.
Next throwing the “mother” of all album release parties, Matthew celebrates a massive milestone on the day (2/21) CHASE launches, setting the “Mother Church of Country Music” – Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium – for his SOLD-OUT hometown headline debut at the historic venue.
Notching 1 BILLION+ global career streams, while performing more than 145 electrifying shows last year alone, tickets for Matthew’s 2025 WORLD TOUR are on sale and going fast, as he plans a headline run across the U.S., U.K., and Europe, before joining Keith Urban’s HIGH AND ALIVE WORLD TOUR this summer, with dates in the U.S. and Australia.
