SAM BARBER MAKES DEBUT APPEARANCE ON THE KELLY CLARKSON SHOW

Tomorrow, RIAA PLATINUM-certified singer/songwriter Sam Barber will make his debut appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Continuing his rise as a major new force on today’s Country scene, the 21-year-old singer/songwriter is joined by Arizona-born artist Avery Anna for a duet performance of “Indigo” — Barber's explosive hit that recently marked his Billboard Hot 100 debut and reached No. 8 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Go here to find out where and when The Kelly Clarkson Show airs in your area.

One of Barber’s biggest hits to date, “Indigo” appears on his widely acclaimed debut album Restless Mind (Lockeland Springs/Atlantic Records) — a 28-song powerhouse built on his rugged and reflective brand of Country. With its chart success also including spots on Billboard’s Country Airplay and Global 200, the quietly haunting track brings Barber’s unvarnished vocals to an intimate account of losing his sense of self after parting ways with an ex. Woven with the duo’s breathtaking harmonies, “Indigo” ultimately achieves a devastating beauty in its poetic expression of desperation and regret (from the chorus: “I used to shine bright like gold/Now I'm all indigo/My colors are darker and cold/I think it's time that I went home”).

“Indigo” is one of two album cuts to feature Anna, who also appears on Restless Mind’s title track and co-wrote a number of the LP’s songs with Barber, including “Better Year” — a hard-driving anthem featured on Paramount’s blockbuster TV show Yellowstone in December. Since releasing Restless Mind last fall, Barber has garnered rave reviews from the likes of GRAMMY.com, who noted that the album “furthers his prowess as one of the genre’s most compelling young voices.” Now boasting over 11 MILLION monthly listeners on Spotify, the Southern Missouri native recently embarked on the RESTLESS MIND WORLD TOUR 2025 — a massive international run including headline and festival appearances across the U.S., U.K., and Europe, as well as several shows in Australia with Cameron Whitcomb as support.
