NASHVILLE STAR CHRIS CARMACK MAKES DEBUT PERFORMANCE ON NBC's TODAY WITH “PIECES OF YOU” ON MONDAY (1/25)

Triple-threat singer, songwriter and guitar player Chris Carmack (currently portraying “Will Lexington” on ABC’s hit TV series Nashville) will perform the title track of his independently released debut EP PIECES OF YOU for the first time on NBC’s TODAY on Monday (1/25), airing at 7am ET/PT. Later that night, Carmack joins Andy Cohen on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live airing at 11/10pm CT.

PIECES OF YOU rocketed to #1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Top Albums chart and released to critical acclaim with Entertainment Weekly pronouncing the project as “stunning,” Renowned for Sound claiming “one to add to the ‘awesome’ pile” and Rolling Stone Country recognizing the guitar efforts as “shot through with bursts of fiery fretwork.” Sounds Like Nashville, a division of SpinMedia, went on to characterize Carmack as “pure talent – one who isn’t afraid to paint outside the lines, and sound just as pure and as authentic in any one style as the other.”

About Chris Carmack

The Washington D.C. native, who grew up playing saxophone at a young age, turned his attention towards jazz band and theatre in high school. Upon graduating, he studied at NYU’s esteemed Tisch Adler Conservatory before heading out to Los Angeles where he helped launch the theatrical production of The Day I Stood Still. Carmack would spend his off-time practicing guitar, which would later come in handy for his role on Nashville. His performance in The Day I Stood Still attracted the attention of the producers from the hit drama The O.C., who cast him as “Luke Ward” in the series in 2003. After completing his work on the show, Carmack returned to the stage in New York at the Roundabout Theatre Company, where he took on the role of “Sloane” in Entertaining Mr. Sloane, alongside Alec Baldwin and Jan Maxwell. He also performed in London, playing John Buchanan in Tennessee Williams’ Summer and Smoke
