OLIVIA LANE'S WORLD PREMIERE MUSIC VIDEO FOR PLAYFUL SINGLE “MAKE MY OWN SUNSHINE” EXCLUSIVELY ON ROLLING STONE COUNTRY

Big Spark Music Group’s Olivia Lane is beaming with the premiere of her “Make My Own Sunshine” music video, exclusively on Rolling Stone Country today (3/30). Written by Lane, producer Ilya Toshinskiy and hit maker Jim Beavers, the playful song is climbing the country radio charts and an acoustic version is featured on her current mixtape HEART UNLOCKED.

“If I had to sum up how I try to live my life every day, this video relays that energy.  'Make My Own Sunshine’ is about deciding to turn your day around regardless of the circumstances,” illuminates Lane. “All in all, I hope this video makes people smile!”

Produced by Tiny Terror Productions’ Jennifer Rothlein and directed by James King, the light-hearted video captures a vibrant Lane making the most of “Murphy’s law” type moments, whether it’s a fender bender, spilt coffee or pouring rain. For the frigid yet sunny February shoot, filmed just outside of Nashville, cranes and hoses were brought in to stream water and create the illusion of rain for the video’s enchanting conclusion- a “Singin’ in the Rain” inspired dance medley à la Gene Kelly.

Lane's dance card is stacked this week with Las Vegas shows including joining ACM-nominated artist CAM tonight (3/30) at Santa Fe Station, performing “Make My Own Sunshine” on ABC affiliate KTNV's The Morning Blend tomorrow (4/1) and the just-added show at Loser’s Bar at the MGM Grand at night. Lane will also co-headline The Kinkead Entertainment Agency’s “ACM Rockin’ Eve Party” with Chasin’ Crazy at Stoney’s Rockin’ Country on Saturday night (4/2).

Garnering media attention, Entertainment Weekly selected Lane as a “Breaking Big” artist and Rolling Stone Country named her one of "10 New Country Artists You Need To Know."  She was also chosen for CMT’s Listen Up Music Discovery Program. Touring nationwide, the powerhouse singer/songwriter has opened select dates for Wynonna Judd, Kip Moore, Randy Houser and joined Neal McCoy’s Country Cruisin’ voyage with other artists including Trace Adkins, Thompson Square and Charlie Worsham.

The fresh-faced newcomer has been immersed in the craft and tradition of country music since she was a little girl, eager to follow in the footsteps of her mother who was a country singer. She studied music, songwriting and acting in college at USC and immediately upon graduation moved to Nashville to pursue her lifelong dream of a career in country music.
