WATCH HOME FREE’S TAKE ON “TRY EVERYTHING,” SHAKIRA’S SMASH SONG FROM DISNEY’S “ZOOTOPIA,” EXCLUSIVELY ON THE HUFFINGTON POST
Skyrocketing to 70 million plus YouTube views, Columbia Records’ all-vocal country music sensation Home Free launches to a new level with their take on Shakira’s joyful smash hit “Try Everything,” from Disney’s blockbuster motion picture “Zootopia.” Watch the music video exclusively on The Huffington Post today (4/26). Marking the band’s first song and video release with new member, Adam Chance, “Try Everything” is available now at all major digital retailers.
“We recently saw ‘Zootopia’ and instantly fell in love with the visuals and inspiring message of the movie, especially the sounds of ‘Try Everything.’ We realized we had never released a song specifically for kids and this song was the perfect fit,” shared Home Free’s bass, Tim Foust. “We hope people of all ages will enjoy it and resonate with the positive messages as much as we do!”
While preparing to record their upcoming fourth studio album, Home Free saw “Zootopia,” which has grossed over $800 million since its March 4 release. The motion picture has helped propel the lead song from the soundtrack, co-written by Sia and recorded by Shakira, to over 140,000 downloads and more than 90,000,000 streams on Spotify. The cover welcomes newest bass, Adam Chance, who officially joins the band after their current tour wraps on May 8 in St. Cloud, MN.
During a recent tour stop in Portland, OR, Home Free recorded the “Try Everything” song and video in two days with longtime producer and collaborator Darren Rust. The stop was one of the many advance sell outs during their 34-day, 26-show DON'T IT FEEL GOOD Spring Tour. The band announced yesterday that they will support multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY Award-winning and Country Music Hall of Fame inductees Alabama on September 29 at the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, MO.
