HOME FREE DEBUTED VIDEO COVER OF JOHN MICHAEL MONTGOMERY’S HIT “SOLD” ON FRIDAY (9/30); NEARS 100 MILLION VIEWS ON YOUTUBE
Columbia Records’ all-vocal country group Home Free dropped their video cover of John Michael Montgomery’s hit “Sold” Friday (9/30) while nearing the impressive 100 million views mark on YouTube. Once again, the band’s tight harmonies, mixed with tenor Austin Brown’s solos, Tim Foust’s deep baritone vocals and extraordinary beat boxing by Adam Rupp, continue to produce fresh and entertaining takes on classic country songs.
Directed by Reilly Zamber, McKenzie Zamber, and Jimmy Bates of FifGen Films, Home Free’s entertaining visual accompaniment to their rendition of “Sold” was shot at the Eugene Livestock Auction in Junction City, Oregon, this past August. Offering an homage to John Michael Montgomery's award-winning video for the original record, the band members jokingly auction themselves off one by one to the ladies in attendance at "The Grundy County Auction." More than 200 "extras" were featured, as Home Free invited their fans to participate in the shoot. Watch the video on their YouTube channel here.
Adding to the recent excitement, Home Free was just selected by Ticketmaster as one of its inaugural “New Music Favorites,” which spotlights artists who are bound to be big. As a thank you, the group is offering a free download of original song “Don’t It Feel Good” on their Ticketmaster page here.
On the heels of their performance at the 2nd Annual European Country Fest in Austria, Home Free opened for legendary country music band Alabama in Kansas City, MO, last week, bringing the Kansas City crowd to its feet as they joined Alabama on stage for "The Closer You Get" and "Angels Among Us." The band made a video of the collaboration available via Facebook live. The band is prepping to bring fans a spectacular 31-show A COUNTRY CHRISTMAS Tour this holiday season which is set to launch on November 9 and will stop in 30 cities nationwide. The band expects almost all shows to sell out in advance.
