HOME FREE DEBUTS CHILLING VIDEO COVER OF “COLDER WEATHER”

Columbia Records’ all-vocal group Home Free sets a chilling tone with the music video release for their harmony-driven cover of Zac Brown Band’s “Colder Weather” yesterday (11/15) on their YouTube channel. First performed when the vocal sensation was competing on NBC’s The Sing-Off, the stone-cold track is now featured on their newly expanded Christmas album, FULL OF (EVEN MORE) CHEER.

“We have always been a fan of Zac Brown Band and this song,” shares Rob Lundquist. “I loved the lyrics the minute I heard the original version and it allowed us to get really creative with the harmonies and craft a new blend with our voices. Ever since we performed it on The Sing-Off, we wanted to add it to an album and couldn’t think of a more fitting time!”

Directed by Fifgen Films’ Reilly Zamber, McKenzie Zamber and Jimmy Bates, the video was filmed while Home Free was in Minnesota for tour rehearsals. The locations: a living room fireplace, vast field and coffee shop, echo the emotional and despondent lyrics. Watch the video here

“Colder Weather” is undoubtedly poised to follow in the success of their breathtaking “How Great Thou Art” video that is quickly going viral with nearly 5 million views. Becoming well known for their online fan engagement and impressive numbers, Home Free recently crossed the 100 million-milestone mark for YouTube views. Adding to the excitement, the all-vocal band kicked off their wildly successful A COUNTRY CHRISTMAS Tour this past week with a sold-out show in Green Bay, WI.

About Home Free

Since being crowned NBC’s The Sing-Off victors, Home Free has made their mark on the music scene selling more than 250,000 copies combined of their popular albums, CRAZY LIFE and FULL OF CHEER, embarking on four major national tours and amassing over 105 million YouTube views. The release of their third studio album COUNTRY EVOLUTION has elevated the band “from auxiliary entertainment to headlining attraction” (Times Leader) and hit No. 4 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. Produced by Darren Rust, the deluxe version includes five originals and nine new renditions of hit songs that showcase the band’s extraordinary talents, tight harmonies and intelligent arrangements that are uniquely their own. Home Free’s breakout debut album CRAZY LIFE (2014) hit No. 1 on iTunes Country chart and No. 4 overall. Founded in 2000 during collegiate years, the five-man band from Minnesota has been perfecting their live show for nearly a decade performing together for packed crowds at major fairs, colleges and theatres. Their experiences on the road helped carry them to The Sing-Off victory, build a loyal fan base and bring their homegrown country style into the national spotlight.
