Black River Entertainment’s KELSEA BALLERINI is heading into GRAMMY® week with all eyes on her. The Best New Artist nominee and history-making star has booked a double dose of high-profile media engagements as she closes in on the big night, another career highlight that marks her first-ever Recording Academy nomination.
On Monday (2/6), Ballerini will appear as musical guest on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, set to perform her Top 20 and rising single, “Yeah Boy.” The fun and flirty track is the fourth single from Ballerini’s groundbreaking debut album, THE FIRST TIME, which has already sent her first three singles to the top of the charts – a record for women in country music. The song was co-written by the star with Forest Glen Whitehead and Keesy Timmer, and a video directed by Kristin Barlowe is out now.
Meanwhile, Ballerini will also be splashed across newsstands nationwide as she poses on the cover of Billboard Magazine’s current GRAMMY preview issue. The publication has previously traced Ballerini’s rise, describing her as “Country’s Next Queen,” and the new cover story will examine her life as a confirmed star.
The 59th annual GRAMMY AWARDS air live from Los Angeles February 12 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. In her first-ever nomination, Ballerini is up for the coveted all-genre Best New Artist award, alongside breakout acts The Chainsmokers, Chance the Rapper, Anderson .Paak and fellow country artist Maren Morris.
Following the GRAMMYs, Ballerini will embark on an intense tour schedule which includes Thomas Rhett’s HOME TEAM Tour and Lady Antebellum’s YOU LOOK GOOD Tour, which kicks off May 26 in Bakersfield, California, and continues with international dates scheduled throughout the summer of 2017.
