NEAL McCOY Returns To Kick Off JAMBOREE IN THE HILLS With A FREE Concert

JAMBOREE IN THE HILLS fan-favorite, Neal McCoy, has been announced to kick off the 2017 JAMBOREE IN THE HILLS with a FREE concert on Wednesday, July 12, as part of the annual pre-show party at the venue.

Back this summer for the 41st time, this year’s Jamboree In The Hills music festival will take place from July 13-16 in Belmont County, Ohio, with headliners Thomas Rhett, Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum joined by Kelsea Ballerini, Chris Young and more of country’s hottest stars.

One of the longest-running and best-loved country festivals in the world, more than 100,000 diehard fans are expected to soak in four days of incredible music, along with all the camaraderie and traditions they have come to know and enjoy – the famed “Redneck Run” each morning, opportunities for up close and personal photos and weekend-capping fireworks included. As always, fans are welcome to bring in their own coolers and beverages, with the same rules of entry applying as in the past (no liquor or glass containers).

McCoy’s free concert appearance is sponsored by Panhandle Cleaning & Restoration.

“We’re gonna be tickled to death to be there,” says McCoy in a taped video statement. “We always love Jamboree In The Hills, this is gonna be our 21st year in a row and we sure hope you come celebrate with us.”

Pittsburgh-based country rockers Township Road will open the free show, getting the party started with a locally-sourced mix of high-energy country covers and crowd favorites. Founded by area natives Zeke Blake and JD Greene, the group has previously opened for The Cadillac Three, LOCASH, Frankie Ballard and many more.

Multi-day camping, VIP passes and single-day tickets are still available via www.jamboreeinthehills.com, onsite at the Belmont venue or by phone at 1-800-594-TIXX.

The festival’s full 2017 lineup will be revealed soon.

Jamboree In The Hills is co-presented by WTOV9, WOVK-Wheeling, WPGB-Pittsburgh, WCOL-Columbus and iHeart Country. To find out more, please visit www.jamboreeinthehills.com and Facebook.
