TEGAN MARIE BRINGING PERFECT PITCH TO PONY BASEBALL’S COLT WORLD SERIES

Warner Music Nashville and Sweety High sensation TEGAN MARIE will be swinging for a home run at this year’s PONY BASEBALL COLT WORLD SERIES, taking center stage for a special performance on August 4.

Held for the first time at Rent One Park in Marion, Illinois – home of the Frontier League’s Southern Illinois Miners – PONY BASEBALL'S COLT WORLD SERIES is a weeklong international tournament for elite 15 and 16-year-old players taking place August 3-8. Teams and fans from around the U.S., as well as the European, Mexican, Caribbean and Asia-Pacific zones, will be flocking to the town with over 50,000 expected to be in attendance.

Still only 14 years old herself, the rising star was invited to deliver a perfect pitch of her own by official sponsor Pepsi MidAmerica, who partnered with the Michigan native for a six-city tour in 2017.

“On behalf of Pepsi MidAmerica, we are so honored to have Tegan Marie as the featured artist to kick off the inaugural Colt League World Series hosted in Marion, IL,” shared Pepsi MidAmerica’s Doug Deaton. “When we met her last year, we knew she was a star. We’re looking forward to Tegan Marie bringing her incredible live show to our town for this very special occasion."

On May 17, Tegan Marie will be on hand for Music Biz 2018 in Nashville, where the talented phenom will perform as part of “The Year of Gen Z: Insights from the Front Line with Today’s Youth Consumer.” That presentation will be made by her managers, Sweety High Co-Founder & CEO Frank Simonetti and Co-Founder & CCO Veronica Zelle, the team who discovered Tegan Marie and helped introduce her to the world, making her one of the youngest major label Country artists in history.

Tegan Marie also has a busy week on tap for this year’s massive CMA Music Festival, making three high-profile appearances in downtown Nashville and hitting the baseball diamond once again:
Friday, June 8 – 10:45am performance at Maui Jim Broadway Stage at Hard Rock Café
Saturday, June 9 – 10am City of Hope’s 28th Annual Celebrity Softball Game at First Tennessee Park
Saturday, June 9 – 7pm performance at Cracker Barrel Country Roads Stage at Ascend Amphitheater Presented by Warner Music Nashville
Having already earned big-time attention from ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s TODAYBillboard, USA TodayRolling Stone and more, Tegan Marie’s new song, “I Know How To Make A Boy Cry” – produced by Scott Hendricks (Blake Shelton) and co-written with Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift), Nelly Joy and Jason Reeves – is slated for release June 1. She is currently working with Hendricks and Chapman on her first album for Warner Music Nashville.
