MORGAN EVANS' "KISS SOMEBODY" SOARS INTO COUNTRY RADIO'S TOP 10 FOLLOWING FIRST-RATE CMA FEST PERFORMANCES
Following his string of buzzed-about CMA Fest appearances, MORGAN EVANS’ debut U.S. single “Kiss Somebody” has officially landed in Country Radio’s Top 10. Written by Evans (alongside Chris DeStefano and Josh Osborne), the song is set to be featured on his forthcoming debut album with Warner Music Nashville.
Commanding the stage solo with his signature loop pedal, Evans brought unique flair to Ascend Amphitheater on Saturday night (6/9). Rolling Stone praised "he played a phenomenal solo set designed to dispatch any misconception that a singer needs background musicians to get an audience on their feet and dancing," while The Tennessean added “Judging from crowd response, the audience didn’t miss the live band at all.”
Evans kicked off the week with a performance at Pandora’s Backroads event (6/5), helping a fan execute a successful marriage proposal before breaking into the aptly titled “I Do.” Continuing to engage crowds, he took the stage at the CMT & Bar-S Block Party (6/6), HGTV Lodge (6/9) and SiriusXM Happy Hour (6/10). He performed at his jam-packed exclusive fan club party (6/8) and served up Morg’s Margs – his own special margarita recipe.
The Australia native capped off the weekend on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage (6/10), gushing with gratitude to fans as he reflected on his first trip to Nashville for CMA Fest. Evans was also tapped by BBC to cover the star-studded nightly concerts at Nissan Stadium.
In the midst of back-to-back live shows, Evans released celebratory track “Day Drunk” (6/8), available now on all digital platforms. Bringing the party to each of his sets, the dynamic performer had seas of festival-goers tipping back drinks and singing along to the catchy new tune throughout the weekend.

Adding to the excitement, the gifted songwriter has co-penned three songs on this week’s Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart including “Kiss Somebody,” “Hooked” (Dylan Scott) and “Young Forever” (Eric Paslay).
CMA Fest marks the beginning of a whirlwind summer for Evans, whose 10 IN 10 TOUR kicks off June 21 with a sold out show in Los Angeles, CA. Jetting from coast to coast – compliments of Southwest – he will perform 10 consecutive shows in 10 days. A full list of tour dates and limited tickets are available at MorganEvansMusic.com.
