CHRIS LANE TO IGNITE NATIONWIDE LAPS AROUND THE SUN TOUR THIS FALL
Fresh of the chart-topping release of his sophomore album, LAPS AROUND THE SUN, Big Loud Records breakout star CHRIS LANE is set to put a few more miles under his feet with the headlining LAPS AROUND THE SUN TOUR.
Beginning October 12 with a show at Flounder’s in sunny Gulf Breeze, FL, the buzzworthy tour will be supported by rising Country star Mason Ramsey and American Idol standout Gabby Barrett, visiting cities from coast to coast and culminating with a pre-Christmas concert at Philadelphia’s Theatre of Living Arts on December 15.
“I’m blown away by the response to my new album,” shares Lane. “Performing live and interacting with fans is one of my favorite parts of what I do, and hearing people sing along is such a cool feeling. I can’t wait to hit the road and play these songs every night. See y’all this fall!”
Other high-profile stops on the LAPS AROUND THE SUN TOUR will include Joe’s Live in Rosemont, Illinois (10/19); The Troubadour in Los Angeles (10/28); and Irving Plaza in New York City (12/13), with pre-sale tickets available via Spotify August 21 and to Lane’s fan club members August 22. General public sales for all dates will then begin on August 23 – but tickets are expected to sell red hot, as evidenced by Lane’s performance at Watershed Music Festival earlier this month. That milestone moment saw 30,000 fans screaming the words to his hit single, “Take Back Home Girl” (featuring Tori Kelly).
News of Lane’s LAPS AROUND THE SUN TOUR also comes on the heels of another successful album launch, as his second LP (LAPS AROUND THE SUN) landed at #1 on the iTunes Top Country Albums chart and inside the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Country Albums list. The project was hailed by PEOPLE magazine for its “breezy country pop” approach and Lane’s artistic poise, with the publication stating “the guy never breaks a sweat.” Meanwhile, “Take Back Home Girl” continues its climb through the Top 10 of the Country radio airplay charts, and Lane has now surpassed half a BILLION digital streams over the course of his still-accelerating career.
Lane will continue touring on the fair and festival circuit through the end of summer, with upcoming shows in Aberdeen, South Dakota (8/16); Minneapolis (8/17); Fairmont, Minnesota (8/18); and more before embarking on the LAPS AROUND THE SUN TOUR.

ABOUT GABBY BARRETT:
Gabby Barrett came into prominence when the 18 year old vocal powerhouse hit the national stage as a finalist on Season 16 of American Idol. Gabby is one of eight children from Munhall, PA (near Pittsburgh). She began singing live in gospel choirs at the age of nine and, in 2014, she won Kean Quest Talent Search. Prior to Idol she performed over 100 shows and helped raise money for a host of regional charities including the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh and the Ronald McDonald House. She was even regarded as “A voice you must hear” by The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. During Idol, Gabby collaborated on performances with superstars Bebe Rexha, Carrie Underwood, Sugarland and Luke Bryan. Having already released original music independently, while on the American Idol Live! 2018 tour, Gabby is working on writing and recording new music to release soon.
