GABBY BARRETT BRINGS “I HOPE” TO LIFE IN BRAND NEW TWIST-FILLED MUSIC VIDEO
Country newcomer GABBY BARRETT brings her sizzling new song “I Hope,” to life in the brand new twist-filled music video out today. “Coming out swinging” (One Country) with her first release since her run as a finalist on season 16 of ABC’s American Idol, Barrett puts a cheating ex on blast and says all of the things that she says "girls really want to say when done wrong."
The video follows Barrett as she falls victim to a cheater, inspiring the “vengeful” (Taste of Country) track and sparking a chain of events he soon regrets starting. Filmed in Nashville, TN, the video paints a picture of exactly what Barrett “hopes” for her ex, and debuts a striking new look for the young riser to match her upsurging kick-start into Country’s mainstream.

Barrett’s newest slow-burner is turning heads, with Sounds Like Nashville praising the song’s “attitude, powerhouse vocals and groovy blues elements” and Taste of Country calling it a “new revenge anthem.”
Wrapping up 2018 opening for Country star CHRIS LANE on his LAPS AROUND THE SUN TOUR playing SOLD OUT venues across the U.S., and she'll continue touring in 2019, with a stop at the annual Tortuga Music Festival in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, in April. Barrett is currently in the studio working with Grammy-nominated producer Ross Copperman on her forthcoming project.

Eighteen-year-old Country powerhouse Gabby Barrett came into national prominence in 2018 as finalist on Season 16 of ABC’s American Idol. A native of Munhall, Pennsylvania, and one of eight children, Barrett began singing in her local gospel choir in Homestead, Pennsylvania at the age of nine, started playing shows at age 11 and won the respected Kean Quest Talent Search in 2014.
